T Stands for Flowers on a Cold Day

Happy T day everyone. It's Tuesday again, time to share our drink related posts over at
Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog.

Last Friday I took a road trip to visit a spring flower and bulb show at an arboretum. I went with a couple of work friends and fellow science teachers. If you've stopped by my blog in the last few days you probably recognized that, as I've been teasing you with some photos. Today I want to show you some spring blooms. If you live someplace that is warmer than my snow covered area these might not be quite as exciting to you as they are to me, but for me in snowland this was a much need spring fling.

But how can you not love these flowers? And I've got a ton more photos for another day.
All that swooning over the beautiful flowers made us hungry. So we headed into the town of Northampton (Massachusetts) for lunch.
Now I have only been to Northampton a couple of times.  The last time I had lunch there was about 5 years ago. This past Friday  one of my friends picked a place for lunch that she found searching on her phone. Her choice was this place called Sly's Cafe and Bakery. The funny thing is when I walked in I realized this was the same place I ate those 5 years earlier.
I had a yummy turkey sandwich that came with a side. I chose the broccoli slaw. It was a huge side serving and was quite delicious
And for my drink, no Diet Coke this week. I had a big glass of water.
It was a really fun day out!  Now hopefully spring will be here soon, especially since tomorrow is the equinox. Snow stay away!
Hope everyone has a wonderful T day.

Wow, what an amazing place! Your photos of the beautiful blooms are spectacular and make me wish for spring 😁. It seems that spring is eluding us with the cold temperatures and weather we are having at the moment, we have had sunny days here but it has been so cold, which isn't helping the cough I have (left over from the flu that I've had for the past week). Let's hope the warm days of spring are with us soon. In the meantime, I can look at your stunning photos, the blooms are so cheery - perfect 😁. The café looks like a fabulous place and I now have cravings for a turkey sandwich and slaw - yum! Hope all is well with you and wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊

Oh Wow, those flower photos look gorgeous. Wonderful colours, yes they shout Springtime, this winter cannot last for much longer.
Your lunch looks delicious, I've made a cauliflower slaw before but never broccoli, I think I will try that soon, thanks for the idea.
Happy T day wishes Erika.

I am having a terrible week. I can’t stop coughing, my internet keeps going offline, and my keyboard works about half the time.

I realize I’m not a very good host, but want to thank you for sharing T with us this Tuesday. Happy Vernal Equinox, too. BTW, I LOVE those spring flowers, especially the tulips.

Gorgeous flower photos, Erika. There's enough inspiration there for several years of journal pages. Hyacinths are one of my favorites. Those frilled tulips are fascinating. We have flowers year round here in west central Mexico, but even I swooned over those photos :-)

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

I'll never get tired of spring flowers. Especially during winter! I so love those fabulous shaggy tulips. It's hard to imagine so many varieties. And the muscari and hyacinths... big sigh. I really needed this today! Thanks!

Gorgeous flowers, just gorgeous! I love flower displays, and they have so many!

I've never heard of broccoli slaw, but it looks tasty. It's nice when a restaurant you like is still there after years have passed. Happy T Tuesday

I feasted on all those beautiful flowers. Reminded me of Holland. I bet there was quite a frangrance in the air as it was indoors with all those hyacinths.
Your lunch looks yummy. I am impressed with that side salad. I bet it was lovely. What a coincidence that it was the same place you went to years ago!
Happy T-Day and have a good week too,
Lisca

The pictures that you took of the flowers are stunning. That white tulip that looks like its edges are fringed is very unique. I have never seen one like that before. What a fun surprise to visit the same cafe after 5 years. Your meal looks delicious especially that very large portion of broccoli slaw.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Spring flowers are my favourites - partly I think because they really do mean that Winter is over(not that we knew it last weekend!) These all look so beautiful! How funny to find that you ate in the same place as last time you visited!Happy T Day Chrisx
