Animals-Real or Imaginary

Hi everyone. Happy Tuesday to you.

Today I am back to introduce our new challenge at Try It On Tuesday

Thank you Renske for hosting the last challenge, and also thanks to everyone who joined us for our Keep It Simple challenge.

Our new challenge for the next 2 weeks is
Animals-Real or Imaginary

I went with a real animal as this cute pup  has charmed my heart. I'll name her Flora. I want to just pick her up and snuggle with her, but I think Flora would rather chase that big red ball. She certainly looks like she has a lot of energy. But what an expression on her face.

I made my page in my lined paper journal. I also decided to keep my page a bit on the simple side also so I used part of a page of old scrapbook paper that I then stenciled to make the background. Those of you who don't like torn paper will probably not like all the white edging.

This page has a lot of stamped images. I stamped and fussy cut Flora and painted her with some watered down grey paint as I wanted the stamp's details to show up. I  stamped and fussy cut the bones as well as the postage stamp. The postmark and quote are also stamped.

And finally I used a blob or red paint to make the ball, so that is not stamped.

I also want to welcome Valerie back to our design team after an extended leave.
And be sure to check out all the animal art from our creative design team also. There's lots of inspiration for you there.

This challenge will run for the next 2 weeks, and all types of art are accepted.

This month the challenge at Art Journal Journey is hosted by Neet and is Fur and/or Feathers, so I am linking up my journal page to that challenge also. Biologically, hair and fur are the same thing;  it is just the amount of each. Since most dogs have lots of hair, I'd  say they are covered in fur. (Even if they shed hair, and with 2 dogs I feel I am an expert in dog hair everywhere-smile.) If you want to join the Art Journal Journey challenge, please do, but remember, only art journaling is accepted. No cards, tags, ATC's, thrinchies, etc should be linked up.

Thanks for visiting my blog. And I look forward to viewing all your animal creations.

Based on my experience with pet owners it seems that once you have a dog love comes with it. I was out with Heather and Lily, and their dog, Clementine, yesterday and there's a dog that just oozes love. When she hasn't seen us for a while she is so excited! Even when I was away in Ethiopia for almost a month Miriam wasn't that excited to see me when I came home! Hugs - David

Flora is cute, for a dog 😺I'm not sure I could deal with her boundless energy at this stage of the game. I hope you're getting some beneficial rain and aren't being flooded out.

A great page Erika, Flora looks such a happy dog and I'm sure she brings lots of love wherever she goes, so your quote is perfect.

This is such a sweet page, Erika. Flora looks so happy and excited that she can chase the ball, she doesn't even pay attention to all the bones. The background paper is pretty - I do like torn paper with the white edges. I hope you have a lovely week.

I am with you regarding Flora, such an enchanting face on this tiny dog. She certainly has boundless energy as she chases the red ball. Love how you have used various tones of grey in the build up of your journal page (and I love a torn edge and am annoyed when I don't get that white edging).
I hope she gets one of those bones to chew when she finally settles down.
Thanks for joining me at AJJ with my theme of Fur and/or feathers.
Hugs, Neet xx
