Wrapping Up September

Hi everyone. Happy Friday, and happy last day of September.

Today I am sharing my last piece for Neet's challenge at Art Journal Journey. If you have any interest in that challenge you know by now the challenge is Fur and/or Feathers.  Tomorrow we start  a new challenge as it is a new month. So if you want to join in with Fur and/or Feathers, do it fast as you'll soon be out of time for this particular challenge.

My page today also has this lovable dog face, so I am also linking up to Nicole's  Friday Face Off .

And I know, not everyone is a dog lover, but they need their time along with all the cat pages that have been linked up to Neet's challenge this month-smile.

I started this page by inking my background with some golden yellow ink. Then  I layered some paper scraps and some 1 inch wide washi tape. After that I added some stickers I made (by printing one of my Gelli print pages on a circle sticker sheet).

I really wanted to stitch on my page, but it is hard to machine stitch in a bound journal, so I created some faux stitching using a white Posca paint pen and black and gold Sharpies. Finally I added the dog face. I left that most white so it would stand out. I also added the stamped quote and a chipboard heart from my stash that I colored red.

I am also linking up to Gillena's FRiday Art Lunch Break.

And as September is ending, I thought I would share the touch of fall color we have. I took these photos on a couple of my morning walks this past week.

Before I sign off I want to send a big thank you hug to the lovely and talented Neet for hosting at Art Journal Journey. We hope you'll join us again also. And I also want to thank everyone who participated in this art journal challenge. We appreciated you joining us.

I also want to send CJ a thank you for suggesting the name of an air purifier. I also got a Leviot and it is working great. So thanks for the info.

Have a great last day of September. And thanks for visiting my blog.

Hi Erika, this is a lovely page, and dogs are wonderful creatures. I am sad I'm not allowed to have a dog here. The autumn photos are also beautiful, I love this season, and today we have good weather and I enjoyed my walk! Hugs, Valerie

Your fall color is far ahead of us, even up here at the lake. I'm beginning to see some trees changing but considering how cool it has been, far fewer than I would have expected. We're here for another week or two so I hope to see something more spectacular. Right now kind of housebound with pneumonia so laying low but might try to get out for a ride later. Love your cute dog face!

I think dogs can be great friends. But t he jumping on one and the licking - I know it´s their way of saying hi, but... Eek.
And I did learn cats to bite as sign of love or stuff their butt in your face.
Hm. Reckon, as sweet as your pic is... I´m happy with Ingo!

Here all is still green and the ripe pears in neighbor´s garden will soon fall to the ground, how sad.

Maybe I should sneak in very early mornings then and grab a few. There is a "secret" door between the two parties...
To a happy weekend and hugs!

Your cute pupper looks like Pete in white, or is that all sudsed up after tangling with the stinky kitty? 😹 Your area is a little further along in color than here. The Levoit is great and they stand by their product. The touch control pad wouldn't work and they sent us a whole new unit, no questions.

I am well impressed with your stitching, it looks fabulous. Such a fun page with all the different things you made like your stickers from a Gelli print and the paper scraps. Your dog is so appealing he really is welcoming us to your journal and I love that great red tongue which makes him look as if he is smiling.
A lovely page Erika to end my theme at AJJ - a big thank you for helping make it successful with your entries which I have enjoyed so much,
Autumn is my favourite season - for the colours and you have captured them perfectly with your photographs. I hope to do the same this coming week when I may visit Sizergh again.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps hope Mr Pete is allowed in the house again - well, out of the basement.

By all means dogs deserve equal time with cats. My dog Izzi dominated my blog for years, but she has passed so now the cats have no competition. You dog picture is cute and I love the fall leaves ... I just love everything about fall ... fresh cool weather and colors, colors and more colors. Have a great week, Erika ...

Yeah for fall walks in cooler temps, finally, and we will be doing some local trail walks this week. I have seen some color in a few trees within the downtown area, but not sure what the park will have due to the lack of rainfall. Still anytime walking outdoors is a great thing.
