Mid-week

Hi everyone. Happy middle of the week to you. It's going to be a hot one in my area again today, and I'm guessing since it's my morning to work at the boat ramp that it could get busy. I had such a delightfully quiet Monday this week (only 2 boats) so it's payback time. Grin. 😏

Monday's weather at the boat ramp was warm  with a mix of sun and clouds, and the early morning view when the clouds were thick  was beautiful.

Today I have a page from my little summer journal that celebrates the beauty of the summer garden.

I recently bought a new Janet Klein girl set (like I needed another stamp-grin 😄) because she is cute, and I especially loved this quote.

My summer journal is made from colored cardstock. The 12x12 paper pieces are cut into 2, sometimes evenly and sometimes not. This page is on some green paper that I stenciled with this robin's egg blue that I've been using a lot lately. In the stencil there were some flowers that I outlined with paint pens. I also added 2 geranium images from 49 and Market that I had in my stash. Then I stamped, colored and fussy cut the girl. I also stamped and cut around the quote to have that pop more off the page. I finished using one of the fabric sun stickers of a sheet by Studio Calico that I had. I used the yellow paint pen to color it in.

I'll be  linking up this page to Halle's Botanical challenge at Art Journal Journey.

That's all for me today. On these mornings that I work I don't get around to commenting until usually evening, so please excuse my tardy responding.

The lake looks mostly overcast, so I can see why there might not be much traffic.

Love the Janet Klein little girl. She is adorable. I also like your flowers and the quote that fit her perfectly. This is a wonderful entry for Halle's theme at AJJ. It is really a fun entry, Erika.

On hot days, everyone should get holiday pay to sit along the boat ramp - drinking, swimming, socialising.

Views from the lake are beautiful. Your page is so happy. I really love the new stamp. Stay cool today. I'm inside today in the AC and trying not to scratch all the green head bites I got at Crane on Monday.

Nothing better than the lake!! Your small summer journal is making me itch to get out some paint for a page. The only issue is that my painting area is completely unusable right now. I should probably tackle that one of these days! Thanks for the inspiration.

Those are some beautifully dramatic skies. What a lovely spot to be all day. Well, unless it's cold or pouring!

You have some great scenery at your work spot, which is certainly a better view than many others who have to be indoors 😏. Those clouds are very dramatic.

Love the clouds over the lake and the sun shining on the water as it peeks through. What a lovely day it must have been.
Your journal page is terrific. I really should get some of my JK stamps out again and use them as they are such fun to colour and can be used in so many ways, I agree with you the quote here is great and I can understand you falling for it. Love your little girl and the many flowers surrounding her.
There is something to do with children cartwheeling in Dusseldorf (near where Valerie is) and lots of things such as grates in the floor depict children cartwheeling. I must look it up as I seem to have forgotten about them now.
Hugs, Neet xx.

Awe! I totally LOVE your JK girl! She's leaping for joy in her garden! Such a perfect and fun AJ page and reminds me of you taking your walks with your camera and sharing photos of your flowers! :) What beautiful photos next to the water! You're so lucky!
