Hi everyone. It is once again Tuesday, which means it is T Day. And welcome August. My husband always says that no month is faster than July except for August. I think he is right about that one.
Today for T day I am taking you on a worldwide journey .
Pocket your passport, skip the jet lag, and avoid that shady two-star hostel. The food you travel the world for is just down the STREET
A couple weeks ago I had an art day with a fellow blogger friend Corrine. Corrine and I live about, (give or take with the traffic), 45 minutes away from each other. After a morning of fabric painting we decided to go out for lunch and headed to this great restaurant in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Here's how they describe themselves on their website. (The highlighted quote above is also from their website.)
" STREET is an eclectic, casual restaurant and cocktail lounge that satisfies both your hunger and your wanderlust. From falafel to phแป, burgers to bibimbap, we serve the world’s most flavorful street food in one lively place. And with a global palate of beer, wine and cocktails, the bar at STREET is one of the hottest evening destinations in Portsmouth, NH."
I've taken you here before, but this time I did remember to snap a photo. We both had Korean bibimbap with steak. And to drink I had an unsweetened ice tea and also a glass of water. Actually Corrine had the same, so it was easy for our waiter.
(Who by the way happened to be a former student of mine. I can always tell a former student when they walk up to the table and give you this long look. Of course since I teach high school by the time I see them they are usually so grown up I can't recognize them any more, but our waiter was nice enough to share his name and I recognized his curly hair right away then.)

This photo is making me hungry. :) The base is sticky rice and there are mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, scallions and lots of other delicious additions to this dish.
Of course this time I forgot to take ny photos of Corrine and myself, so I guess I can never be quite compete. LOL.
Stop by Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to join in and see what the T Gang has been drinking, eating and maybe even up to lately.
Also today I want to thank Linda K for the gorgeous ATC card she sent me for the T Day swap.
It came in a great envelope.
And also included a few little goodies.
Thank you Linda for such a beautiful ATC and all the little ephemera too. They will come in useful, as I am sure you know. :)
And finally some more blooms from the Bridge of Flowers. I showed you some of them the other day which you can check out here if you wish
I think the light drizzle and grey day made the colors pop even more.
I still want to know how they are able to keep so many flowers blooming at the same time. I am guessing they must replant over the course of the season. Whatever they do, it was gorgeous.
I have a few more photos I will show you Thursday since tomorrow is lookback day for Second on the Second.
Happy T day and your visit is much appreciated.

A beautiful post with lots of great things to see and read about..
Have a happy T Day
Love Chrissie xx
Street sounds like a cool restaurant. I've never had Korean food so thanks for introducing me. The ATC is very beautiful and I love the envelope. Such wonderful goodies you'll get to play with.
The flowers at the bridge are spectacular especially those lilies. I wish my garden looked like that.
Have a Happy T Day.
Hi Erika! Hubby love that same dish but my fav is Korean BBQ with kimchi.... As much kimchi as they will give me.. lol Linda's ATC is gorgeous! Just love that blue t cup and the goodies!! Wow!! I can't wait to see what you do with them.. Gorgeous flowers but the pink lilies took my breath away! Thank you so much for such a beautiful T day visit! Hugs! deb
I'm delighted that you and Corrine got together to have a play day. I know she likes to throw around paint, and I can tell you do, too. It must have been a fun experience and I'm a wee tad jealous I don't live closer (and might get invited to play, too).
Your meal looks good, especially the egg and mushrooms. What a great way to finish a painting session. Tea and water for two certainly was easy for the waiter to remember. And a former student, at that.
LOVED the envelope. Wasn't it fabulous. I've never seen one of those 3 oz stamps before. At least MY PO didn't put that horrible mark on mine! You got many of the same things I got. I look forward to seeing what you do with your "little people." The wooden ones, that is.
Thanks for sharing your awesome ATC and gifts from Linda, your photos of the Flower Bridge, and your food and drink with us for T this Tuesday.
I am still in wonder over the lovely photo you shared for the bridge of flowers, so gorgeous. Your meal doesn't look too bad, either, yummy, I would have liked to join you ladies there! Glad you had such a nice meet up and food. I often meet old students, and mostly don't recognise them, but when they come and say hello and tell me their names I remember them. Met a man recently and he was in my class back in the 1970s and he told me he was 60 - now that made me feel very ancient! Happy T Day, and have a great August, hugs, Valerie
What a fabulous post, there is so much to look at and enjoy! Firstly the wonderful restaurant, the food looks so amazing, I bet it tasted every bit as good as it looked - yum! The glass your drink was served in caught my eye so I looked up the Smuttynose Brewery, they do free tours which sounds the perfect way to while away the time ... lol ๐. Then the beautiful ATC from Linda and goodies too, that is so kind! And finally more beautiful bridge flowers that you discovered on your road trip, that's such an amazing place! Thanks and wishing you a Happy T Day! J ๐
p.s. we had a lovely weekend thanks! On Sunday we had a picnic in the park while listening to music performed in the bandstand by my hubby's (and my) favourite local band who are called Ska Face and their live performance was amazing ๐. The weather just stayed dry ...Lol ๐. Hope you had a great weekend too! J x
your flower photos are wonderful. it seems in my garden all the blossoming is over... just green... a failure in planning, i suppose, but i´m too lazy to Change it. we don´t have good soil and many of the flowers i tried didn´t stay...
