A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

My new rose garden is starting to produce lots of pretty blooms. The plants are growing and it looks great since its in a part of the yard that the grass just never seemed to grow. Nice to see something beautiful instead of weeds.  Even the hubby said we need to expand it and get some edging pavers to finish it off.
Wow. And I thought he never noticed the gardens.
So this page is an ode to my garden. I started with lots of paint. My star stencil and a star stamp were out from the 4th of July pages so I used them here-all over the place. Gotta love a star or two. I added some red star Washi tape too.
The tag is a die cut that was cut for another project, didn't get used and was sitting on my table. The rose is a B Line stamp, which is painted with SILKS and then doodled on. The rose leaves are also a die cut.
Oh yes, and the black square images under the rose, are from a homemade stamp! I want to try some more! I used to think stamped images had to be  detailed and  like a fine drawing, but these rough cut ones  are fantastic and are very artistic.
Here's a close up.
Let me show you some of the roses that inspired this page.

I love roses - can't grow them in South Carolina because of all the deer - they are a delicious snack for them and they don't mind the thorns a bit. Your roses are beautiful and your page is great. I have all the tools - just need to sit down and make some stamps!
