I didn't want to get up this morning and so I almost forgot. Then I looked at the calendar and realized it's the second on the second. Time to repost an older blog post. Stop by Elizabeth's blog to see some second viewings and link up your your own second viewing if you're interested.
Here's a photo from the art I showed in my post on December 12, 2014. You can read the original post here.
I love the sentiment of this journal page, and I also love the layering and textures in the background too.
So its not only the second of the month but also Friday. I'm excited about this weekend. For my husband's birthday way back in October I bought him hockey game tickets for our college alma mater up in Maine. They are playing our school rival, which is my daughter and her boyfriend's alma mater. So with the hope he would be up and about, I got 4 tickets so we could all go to the game. And as he's improved enough to really be back up on his feet-at least enough to be chauffeured by me to the game, We are heading up tomorrow to use those tickets. I'm excited to go as this is the first game we've made it to this year, and also excited since it will be a little change of scenery and a night away for us. And even more excited we get to spend the weekend with my daughter and her boyfriend too. :)
But first, I need to get through one more day at school. Hopefully I can wake up enough to function today! :) Ha-ha.
Happy Friday and Happy weekend.

Yes, peace would be nice, but I fear it isn't going to happen in my lifetime. It's a wonderful page filled with lots of color and symbolism. I had to read the entire post from before and admit I've used those felt throw-away pieces, too. Often too pretty to pitch, they make great backgrounds and such. (as an aside, I like your daughter's Snoopy house best-tee hee)
I hope you and your family have a great weekend. Sounds like there will be a bit of rivalry both on and off the ice. Should be some fun and interesting moments, especially if the game is close.
LOVE your December blog banner. It really looks like winter in that photo.
Thanks for sharing your Second on the 2nd. Now it's time for you to wake up and enjoy the beginning of the weekend.
Love the new blog header Erika (is that what its like at your end of the world I wonder?) brrrr... I must say its making feel like I need to go and put a coat and scarf on :)
Love your second on the second piece - yes - wouldn't 'that' be nice!
What a great fun filled weekend you have planned, hope you all have a fantastic time... Gill xx

Glad to hear your husband is doing better, and a night away sounds great.
Love the journal page you re-shared.
I love your new header with the Christmas trees!
Your journal page is very colourful and of course the sentiment is something we all wish for.
Great that you are going away for a couple of days and that hubby is well enough to do that. You didn't know that when you booked the tickets in good faith....
Enjoy!
Hugs,
Lisca
Congratulations on being able to go to the game. What a treat!
What a wonderful page. You can just get lost in all the layers. Glad your husband is feeling better. Enjoy your weekend.

That's a great complex background and I love to see your older art again instead of it being shut in the depths of Blogland.
Super December header, cold, snowy and collecting a Christmas tree, what could be better.
Really glad to read that your husband has recovered well enough to go to a hockey match., it sounds lots of fun.
Since I didn't "know" you back in 2014, I'm especially glad for the second on the second!
And peace -- needed now as much as ever. Unfortunately.
