New Stamps

Hello everyone. Another big snow is blowing in to my world later today. I hope the worst of it holds off until I get home from school. The kids had a half day scheduled anyhow, and we are suppose to have meetings all afternoon, but I am thinking they will let us out with the kids. Or at least I hope. I know I wouldn't be able to focus at meetings all afternoon as I would be too worried about the roads.

I have a page out of my drawing journal for Art Journal Journey today. Rike is our hostess this month and she has a great theme- Animals A-Z.  I think you can see a few on my page.:)
Last week I stopped at Hobby Lobby (again) and much to my surprise found yellow discount stickers all over the place.  This included their rubber stamps. I was naughty and bought 11 new stamps, but only spent $21. I realized mostly what I picked out were animal stamps. You can see some of them here.
I do think I need to stay away from Hobby Lobby though. The deals might be great, and I will certainly use what I bought, but how many art supplies do I need to buy in such a short amount of time?  Notice I used the word need and not the word want. I certainly could want to buy a lot! Especially if they are marked way down. :)
Hope your day is sunny and snow free. I am getting sick of shoveling taking up so much of my time.
Thanks for visiting.

I am so glad that you stopped at Hobby Lobby (again) and bought these wonderful animal stamps - for a special price. They all are so cute, my favorite is the cat looking out of the corner on the right side.
Yes, it is snowing even here in my town - but we never get too much snow, so I have no fear.
Thank's a lot for your lovely entry today to my theme at Art Journal Journey!

I've been watching your area and worrying about you. I hope you make it home in good shape. Last night Sally invited me down to eat at her place. We watched the weather and someone was talking about Syracuse, an area where Sally grew up. She said they NEVER called off school because large amounts of snow was just a way of life there. I hope they call off school for you, since you live outside the city.

I haven't been to HL for a long time, but I have a few yellow stickered pieces, too. I really think you did a great job with the ones you bought. I KNOW you will use them all at some point, because unlike me, you actually USE the things YOU buy. Thanks for sharing this lovely page with us today at Art Journal Journey. It was FUN.

Most school were cancelled last night. Himself got the cancel call last night at 9 PM. I do hope you get sent home with the kids before the snow flies. I'm so sick of shoveling, too.

I love your rubber stamps especially the kitty stamps and how you colored them.

Well, will you look at that cute orange cat stamp! Looks like Gypsy! Yes, craft stores are dangerous places to me. Michael's is very nearby and it seems as though every day I get another coupon or two. It's hard to have some restraint!

I go to Michael's, but even though I don't do crafts and am not an artist I still have trouble coming out without a new photo frame or something... Like you, I don't need anything but get it anyway. I'm trying to pare down, and trips to Michael's don't help towards that goal lol That said, I love your stamps! Maybe I'd be more creative if I went to Michael's more ;)

You got some fun stamps Erika - they all have great expressions on their faces - fabulous page for Rikes theme :)
Its been snowing on and off where I am for 2 days but not staying on the ground long, so nothing like the weather you get.
I hope you get to come home earlier today and have a safe journey in the snow.

Your new stamps are wonderful - well done on buying them - they are all very cool and for sure good to use- don't worry about it- What a LOVELY page for Rike's theme! Thank you dear Erika for another amazing entry! I was on a 2,5 hours road trip today to my father and needed for the backtrip home 3,5 hours because of the snow... nasty weather! Hope you could drive home earlier and it wasn't too nasty! We need no more snow, am I right?!

Snow is lovely unless you have to drive in it. Hope your journey was trouble-free.
I especially like the cat bottom left and the dinosaur(?), oh and the sheep, he could be useful.
