Halloween

Good morning from a very chilly New Hampshire. We even had a few snowflakes this morning. Brrr. Not sure I am ready for this.
So I am going to join  up to 2 challenges today.
I want to join in to the new Halloween challenge at Try It On Tuesday. This is a page out of my Halloween journal/altered book. Maybe I should have colored the background page but I liked the black and white. Then I added some bits and bobs including the sparkly  tree and bat, as well as a couple of wooden cats that I colored.
I am also going to link up to Linda's Creature Comfort theme at Art Journal Journey
And I'll also show you the latest autumn look here in my world. (These photos are from earlier this week. Since then we've had  rain and wind, and since it is still dark here, I bet we have a lot fewer leaves left on the trees.)

Thanks so much for visiting me, and hope all is well with you.

Love your owl page. Fantastic photos, too, Autumn is so beautiful everywhere. Have a great day, keep warm. It's chilly here as well, but no snow! Hugs, Valerie

Ah, Fall in New England, my favorite season in my favorite place! Great Halloween page too!

I like the black and white of your journal page especially the black cats. And the pun is too cute. I think our color is catching up to you. It's really pretty, but I wish it would stay warm. No snowflakes, here, that I know of. Enjoy your day.

Woowww love your Halloween page Erika !! It´s stunning, lovely owl and cats.... I can see you have snow ?? it´s incredible, but it is raining now, can you believe it ? yesterday we had a summer day, and today an autumn day!! But here, normally the rain stays for some hours, or 1 day, 2 maximum... But let see what happens..
I wish you a very "nice" day,
big hugs, Caty

What wonderful seasonal color! We're moving straight from green leaves on the trees to brown leaves on the ground here lol I think we didn't get the right amount of rain to get much Autumn color.

Fab page for both challenges Erika! And I love the black and white background:) Gorgeous autumnal scenes. But Brrrr is right! We didn't see any snow flurries but it did get to the upper 30's last night-too cold too soon for me:( Thanks for joining AJJ again with your lovely art!

I think the Black & White Background looks very good to the owl! It's a wonderful page - I love the conniving owl and those cats fit perfect and bring a beautiful composition!
Thank you for not just joining Art Journal Journey but also Try It On Tuesday with this Altered Book entry!
Much appreciated!
And those amazing photos show all the autumn glory of your area! It gets colder here as well, you are not alone! I am sure
Mister Frost is arriving soon here too.

Big hugs!

Thanks for the kind words on my blog. I hate to leave but blogging takes so much time that I don't have time for art. Besides I spend too much time on the computer, doing bills online, etc. Your photos are absolutely wonderful. It is not fall here yet although with the cool weather I expect the leaves to turn very soon.

I returned from Australia to fall colours too, in splendid sunshine, reds, golds and mauves. There is work to be done in the garden and I think that my jet-lagged body will let me get to it today. Either that or my wife will kick me out the door anyway!

Very beautiful photos of autumn, my favorite is the 5th with the red leaves and the mushrooms - would be interesting to paint!

I apologize for visiting so late, but this was the first time I felt good enough to get out of bed.

Your owl and cats are fabulous. I think if you had colored the background, you would have distracted from the focal image. I love it just the way it is. Sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey is the icing on the cake. Bleubeard even gives it two paws up!

Wonderful photos of the trees and leaves you are experiencing right now. what a sight you must experience because we don't get those brilliant colors here.

Love your Halloween page and the owl especially... and I of course adore your autumn photos Erika and wondering what wildlife is lurking out of shot... maybe, a Pileated Woodpecker (as big as crow - wow!).... chipmunks? :)
