Happy Thursday everyone. I thought I would share some pages from my December journal today. This is my layout for today on the right. The left side of the spread is purposely left blank so I could add any extra bits or extra writing from today or or another day where I need more space.
I began my page with a scrap of music printed tissue paper. Then I had this sheet music cover from an old version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer which I added. The tag is for my daily write in. And I had a couple of retro deer stickers to add, as well as a couple of postmark stamped images. And there you go. This is my fun holiday page.
And these are my first 2 pages before I filled them in. The left side is made with a piece of vintage looking paper, another tag for my daily scribble and a bit of paper tape. The right side needed to be covered with gesso first, and then I added a bit of paint and some scraps of paper. I added the journaling paper strip, a stamped and cut out banner and a bit of decorated bordered sticker. Then I finally added these 2 adorable TH children, all dressed and ready for winter.
I hoping to get some more of my pages photographed this weekend when I can do it in more daylight. I notice there's a bit of shadow of the right. I guess that's what happens when you try to photograph under artificial lights.
I am linking up to Art Journal Journey today also. The latest theme is Tis the Season/My Favorite Season.
This week is flying right by-it's already Thursday. Hope your week is going well.

Wonderful pages Erika, I love how you always make your themed journals, they will be lovely to look back on in days to come. And yes, time is flying by. It's St Nicholas' Day here, so the kids all put out their shoes to get chocolate put into them! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
You are such a clever scrapbooker - you have an artsy hand for assembling the perfect little things together!
I am already in love with this journal now after a few daysa - I adore all those happy pages! Awesome!
Happy day and thank you very much for so many inspiration for the AJJ collection dear Erika.
Hope your weather is fine for driving to work and back home.
Big hugs,
Susi
I love the vintage look to your pages. The deer stickers are adorable and my favorite page so far. Happy St. Nicholas Day! Stay warm
I love how you are leaving the blank pages or incorporating the tags for writing. This is really going to be a precious, keep-it-always piece when you are finished and I'm really impressed with the colorful artwork and thought behind it!
Pages like these make me wish I was into journaling. Such a wonderful way to highlight seasons and record memories :)
I'm LOVING your daily journal. You have put a lot of thought into these pages and even more in the vintage and older images that remind me of nostalgia. You can truly be proud of this journal when it's finished. And I'm proud that you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
More wonderful pages Erika, you will enjoy writing your notes in this journal.
The light is poor here for photos as well and the days are getting shorter, we have to use the lighting just after 3 in the afternoon at this time of year.

The December journal does look vintage to me as well, Erika. You obviously have such fun and use such creativity in assembling them. I wondered if you found the December one a bit more fun to do because to the holiday themes available.
Wonderful calendar pages! You filled them with beautiful pictures about Christmas theme, your scrapbooking is gorgeous!
I also have such shadows when photographing under artificial lights.
Wish you a happy weekend!

Great pages and so very different. Love the reindeer pages, so cute and perfect for writing on.
Am wondering what you are going to write on your delightful Santa page. He is a fun one jumping out of his box. Guess the nect page made me feel nostalgic, in a good way, love the red tones you achieved on it and those baubles are the perfect foil for the actual journalling. Great pages again.
Hugs, Neet xx
