Beautiful Ladies

Yes, it is that time again. Tuesday is here and it's time for another challenge at Try It On Tuesday.
This next 2 week the challenge is Beautiful Ladies.
My idea for this page started when I pulled out this Gelli printed page. The butterflies and I think Lunar Moths made me think of sitting in a garden. So I die cut lots of flowers and leaves.I also grabbed these 3 sitting women from a TH found relatives packet. I think all women are beautiful even if they aren't the glamourous type, so I went with these 3. I drew the hanging porch swing to put them on. I also gave the flowers and leaves a abit of detail just to give them some more depth.  Finally I used some letter stickers for the words on the page.
And since I used flowers I am also liking up to Mia's flower challenge at Art Journal Journey.
Be sure to visit the Try It On Tuesday homepage to see all the wonderful art from the designers for some inspiration.
And I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful women art.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

What a wonderful setting these ladies are in and great to see that social distancing wasn't necessary for them! The flowers remind me of the tropical house in Kew so I can imagine what it would have been like this year! I love how you made that swing especially for them! Hugs, Chrisx

A fabulous page for the new TioT's theme Erika. Those lovely ladies look so comfortable on the porch seat you drew for them to sit on. I think they must have been talking about the garden, they have such lovely expressions.
Stay safe.

You should draw more often, Erika - that's excellent. I love the idea of them swinging in the gorgeous garden. Ecastasy as a friend of mine used to say. Reminds me of my two friends and me sitting in a garden, nattering. Definitely not social distancing, though ;-) Hope we can all do that again soon.....!

Just reading your previous post and looking at your hubby enjoying his boat. My ex was a biker and LOVED cleaning his bikes, so I know where you're coming from. It was always good to watch him pay so much attention to all the small details. He was far from meticulous in the house, or with DIY projects. We all have a passion for something, right?

Glad you got your lobster... things will soon become more 'normal' whatever normality may be.
Take care

I'm anxious for the warm weather to arrive. Sitting on a porch swing and looking out at the garden like your ladies are doing is a little slice of heaven. Weather is improving this week and we might get to enjoy some porch activities like the ladies. Take care!

A fabulous page Erika, I love the image of your ladies sitting on their porch swing and not having to 'social distance'. The background looks very tropical with all the extra details added to the flowers.

Beautiful indeed. I hope for a great summer, way too cold and parents who do not educate their kids any respect at all...
"Luckily" our swing is in the living room...

I always loved sitting on my friend's porch when we came to America even though she did not have a hanging seat. Our porch is not sunny so wouldn't be much use having one put there. But I like the idea of your three ladies sitting in the garden in that lovely seat surrounded by the delightful smells of all those beautiful flowers. Such a great idea Erika.

A very clever idea to draw those lovely ladies a seat to sit upon, how precious it would be to be sat with our nearest and dearest in a wonderful garden full of those marvellous blooms. Fabulous theme again from the TioT team.
Sending creative wishes your way Tracey xx
