Hi everyone.
It is time for a new challenge at Try It on Tuesday, already! Thanks to all of you who joined us with your book page art.
Our new challenge is Going Round in Circles!
I started my page with no idea where it going. I used some assorted origami paper (I have a box of plain bright colored paper) and a set of circle dies. After I cut my circles and laid them out on my page, I was reminded of the 1960's.
A few years back I found an old sewing pattern book (the kind you would look through at the store to pick out what sewing pattern you would want) on a mark down for $4. I thought it would be great images for journal pages, so I bought it, and that's what I used to get the center women image for this page. I also cut out the 1960's vintage word block from this book.
I added the letter stickers. Then I tried to do a bit of sewing around some of the bigger circles, and that didn't go very smoothly. I decided just to take a black Sharpie and put some fake stitching on a few circles. I also used a ruler and the Sharpie to make some lines across the page.
My design teamies also have some wonderful circle art so don't forget to check them out!
You have 2 weeks to share art for this challenge, and at Try It on Tuesday, all kinds of art is accepted. Just keep to our theme.
And as my page has a vintage style, I am also linking up to Wendy's vintage challenge at Art Journal Journey. Please remember this challenge is for art journaling only.
I can't wait to see your circles at Try It On Tuesday.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Great late 60s vibe to your page. My mother had knitted me a poncho when I was in high school. Enjoy the day as the weather is going down hill for the rest of the week.
LOVE those stitched circles and your Vintage vibe brings back a few memories!! LOL! Super spread! Have a fantastic week! ((HUGS)) Helen
Lovely page. I also made a page with circles and fashionable ladies, and then decided to post a different one after I saw yours. I will post mine another time, circles are always good! Those ladies are all wearing comfortable clothes! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
Very cool page! I like the way everything pops out!
Your take on this theme is wonderful, dear. I love that this looks like the images I've seen of the 60s. The colors, too. This turned out really fun. Sounds like you are having trouble with your machine, too. Mine is the tension I can't get right. Hope yours is fixed by now.
A lovely colourful page for my theme on Art Journal Journey, I remember having a poncho. Thank you again.
Hugs Wendy
I remember that era -- all too well!
Beautiful page! I love the happy colourful circles that you created and the stitching looks fabulous too - perfect 😁. Thanks for the inspiration and wishing you a happy new week! Hugs Jo x
I love this 60s inspired page Erika!! Gorgeous bright circles and what fun vintage ladies, awesome stitching too! I hope you are doing well, take care.
Hugs, Tammy
Brought me back to the 60s with the outfits and colors. I remember wearing a poncho, except it was crocheted.
I like the stitching you did around the circles. It added a nice textural element.
Absolutely love your page! Really very groovy and the real sewing just gives it some extra.
The 60´s must´ve been great, too - cool clothes and great combination.
I sure would print it and hang it on the wall, if you allow?
Your lovely page brings dreamy memories to my mind. The 60s was the exciting and romantic period of my life.
Have a nice day, my friend xx
I love this bright and beautiful page Erika!
Fabulous bright circles and those 'swinging 60's images looked fantastic. Its a super inspiration page for our new TioT's theme as well as Wendy's theme at AJJ.
Have a good rest of the week.
Yvonne xx
Groovy indeed :) I remember that look :)
Oh Erika, that could have been me in the 60's with the two bunches and the poncho. I love the 60's fashion and this has taken me back to that era - love the kaftan and the shift dress.
What a fabulous page it is, those circles work so well with that fashion and the colours are amazing. A real zingy happy page.
Love it, Neet xx
Love your fashion page Erika! Have to admit I was around in those days and probably wore similar fashions!

Oh Yeah I love this.
Fabulous page Erika, love the vintage ladies and the stitched circles in the background keep the 60's theme. A tad late commenting, but better late than never.
