Friday Art from my Quebec Journal

Hi everyone. Happy Friday. It's almost the weekend, and I hope yours will be a good one. Today I have a few pages from my Quebec travel journal to share. My first view is for Wendy's On, In or By the Sea challenge at Art Journal Journey. I'll also be linking  this post to  Nicole's  Friday Face Off   as well as to  Gillena's Friday Lunch Break

The boat image is a postcard I picked up. I also used an embossed background, some die cut netting and a die cut anchor. The bend on the top right corner of my page is because it wasn't 100% flat.

My next couple of pages are ones I drew and painted. Both of these are my take on some photos/views I shared  in my past  Monday post (which is here if you want to check it out: T Stands for More of Quebec Part 5.).

This next page is made with a combination of a few items. I started by cutting this cabin view out of a sheet of paper. Then I used a set of tree dies to cut out some trees. I used those to fill in the front. I painted the river and then drew in and painted the mountains and the tiny bit of sky.

And for my final view, I need a face (or 3) to link up to Nicole's Friday Face Off. I know I've shared this photo recently, but I printed off  a copy to make a journal page out of.

Have a super start to the weekend.

The Harbors page really catches my eye. The netting ties the fleur de lis paper in perfectly.

That is one really cool postcard! I love how you've added to your page with the great texture! Your drawn and painted pages are amazing! I think I'm not brave enough to attempt on a blank page especially when I have SO MANY trusty stamps to choose from! LOL Lots of wonderful inspiration today! I love it all!

Some great originality here, Erika, and an organized memory of your trip in a very personal way. Have a great weekend. All the best - David. PS - We are staying with my daughter in Ottawa right now and will cross over into Québec for a few hours later today. Not quite Gaspé, however!

I love your art journal pages, Erika. Such a great and creative way to remember your trip. While in Europe I often thought that I want to paint/create something like the landscapes etc that I saw, but I'm afraid that daily life will take hold again, especially in this busy season. I didn't read any blogs over the past fur to five months and I wonder whether you could return with the dogs without any problems. You seemed a bit worried about that. Have a great new week. Hugs - Carola

Wow so many great pages Erika, what a treat to see them all. That boat postcard is perfect for the theme too. It's great when you discover things that you can use in your journals, isn't it.
