Hi everyone. It is Tuesday so that means it's time for a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday. Thank you everyone who joined our In The Garden challenge. I enjoyed all the different takes on the theme. You can't go wrong with flowers and garden critters.
This time our new challenge is ANIMALS, and one of my favorite critters are dogs, so I made a journal page with this Stamperia dog image that I absolutely love.
I used various papers (including the pet Graphic 45 paper) to layer the background. And since dogs were the first domesticated animal, and since there are people who have loved dogs for a very very long time, I added the clock (a TH die cut). I also added a small punch out heart that I added just a bit of red sparkle to. Then I used an old Cheery Lynn die and cut the dog bones out a couple of times. I finished with a sticker quote because spending time with a dog is a simple pleasure in life.
For those of you who prefer cats, I also agree spending time with a cat is also a simple pleasure, but I will say that dogs get the prize for giving you that look of love. 😏 (Not that cats don't love you either, but as you probably know, it's just different.)
As always our Animal challenge runs for the next 2 weeks, and we accept any kind of art, as long as this time it has something to do with animals. If you need any ideas, but sure to check out the rest of the design teams selections.
I hope you're as inspired by animals as I am, and I look forward to seeing your animal art.

Love this! Dogs are wonderful--as are cats, but as you say, they're different :-)
Cute page. As I think I mentioned before I have a not so good history with dogs, sadly. I´m more the mouse person ;-) I think any animal can bring joy. So... looking forward to more here - have a great day, hugs
Tuesday's post and on my reading list already, wow!
I'm with you on that image it's really lovely and like how you've frame sit in the Timmy clock (reminding me I have that hidden somewhere).
You asked how many Horses, my boy Heskey is the senior boy, then Merlin who's eldest Granddaughters mount, then Penelope, GGD's (I was persuaded when she was six month old a necessity) and new Aurora. Happy Days.

...life is all about enjoying simple pleasures.
Beautiful page!
The layers and details make it so rich, and that dog image is just perfect for the challenge.
I have two cats at home, and I make sure to feed them cat food every day. I don't keep a dog because of my personal beliefs and faith. Still, I think it was a good review.
This is a wonderful page, Erika. It has such heart.
Pick A Puppy is an excellent Canadian tv programme that helps families choose the most suitable puppy. No matter which dogs they find, I still think labradors are the most intelligent, loyal and gentle dogs on earth.
Dogs are the best pets. Unconditional love from them. This is a touching piece of art.
Great new Challenge!
Sweet page. Even if it's about dogs. 😉Hope you're staying dry today
A nice picture dear Erika. But I must confess - I don´t have pets and I will not have one. But my mom has a cat...and she really loves him. But we both prefer to have no responsibility for an animal and are free to go anywhere without thinking what to do with the pet.
But I understand people who love their dog or cat...or what else.
Have a good time
Violetta
That is a lovely journal page.
Happy Tuesday.
All the best Jan
The journal page is such a sweet tribute to the special place animals hold in our lives, and the little details like the heart, clock, and dog bones really bring the story together. I agree that dogs have a unique way of showing their affection, although cats certainly have their own quieter ways of letting us know they care. Looking forward to seeing all the creative animal projects this challenge inspires.
The dog is very cute.
A great page Erika and it's a fabulous image, so full of love for each other and the way you've framed it ties everything together. Have a great week. Avril xx
I know how much you love your dogs, so this theme is perfect for you.
I love this page Erika, dogs give so much to a family, love, protection , care, I think you know how long this list could be. It a lovey image to use as well.
Hope all is well with you all.
I love your journal page Erika (although confess to preferring cats) That certainly is a lovely image, Hugs, Chrisx
