A Beautiful Morning

Yesterday morning it warmed up a bit and felt more like late fall rather than winter (which its been feeling like a lot lately). The hubby, the dog and I went for a nice little morning stroll.

I love Sunday morning walks. There is a lot less traffic and life is moving at a slightly more leisurely pace.

It is really feeling like Thanksgiving here in New Hampshire. 

I love Thanksgiving. Other than cooking (and I don't have to do more than bake pies this year), it is  a pretty low key holiday for me. Plus I get to spend time with my family (OK, that may not always perfect), and the hubby and I get a long weekend! 

So looking forward to the long weekend and the short-2 day- work week.

And this past weekend was a lot of fun too! Hope you had a great weekend too.

Frosty

A chilly Monday morning-but its only a 2 1/2 day week. LOVE it. Makes the first workday morning and having to get up again at 5ish a.m. a lot easier when I Know I only have to do this for 3 mornings.

So here's a few more of my I am thankful for  items... as I said yesterday I am not repeating the typical things that I listed last year- not that those things are bad, (just the opposite, they are the cherries on the sundae), but I'm pushing myself to look deeper.

4- I am thankful for CREATIVITY, and how it allows you to work your way around any situation.

5- I am thankful for EDUCATION- because it gives us all the opportunity to be more than we are and to discover who we are- (and it doesn't have to be in a classroom).

6- I am thankful for FREEDOM, because it allows us to be the most that we are...and to make our own choices...and always have a chance to be more when we are not.

Half way through October

So its a very RAINY Friday, my tooth is still NOT PERFECT and its my ANNIVERSARY today- Dave and I got married 22 years ago. WOW! Katie's home for the day on a mid-semester day off-mid-semester-already, WOW! Where is time flying to? Not that anyone has asked that before. With this rain and wind I'm sure LOTS of leaves will come down...so I'm not expecting the same amount of color after this as we've been having outside. I am beat too, not sure if its the rain, my tooth/ear/face pain or the fact that its just that time of year when I'm going into hibernation mode.
So here's (second photo) a NOT SO FABULOUS photo of me and the hubby out hiking in IRELAND a few years back...but since its our special day...22 years special...and we're still together and still going strong- it is a BIG day for us. I think the view on this photo is more spectacular than how we look though.
Now the top photo which I just added I like even better, we look much more like we're having FUN. This one is from 2005 when we went to ROME, we're at the Colliseum. Got to LOVE it though!
So here's my TOAST- to MARRIAGE, LOVE, NICE GUYS AND COMMITTMENT!!!!! Love you big guy, I hope for VERY MANY more years together and that they're as great as the last 22 have been!

Fall Colors

I know, more fall colors, but they come out for such a short time and we are about peak color right now. That means in a week or two, the color will be gone, the leaves will be down and the trees will be bare. So the beauty must be enjoyed now.

I am beat this evening. Went back to work even with my tooth killing me...its amazing how when you're in pain and your body is busy fighting an infection how much that takes out of you. How much it wipes you out...that's me tonight. No ambition to hit the studio or anything. But that's ok, my body must need to rest.

Day 5 of the tooth saga

Its really more than day 5 if you count the dentist and the original root canal, but yesterday I didn't feel all that great and I ended up back at the endodontist and got another anitbitioic-now its all swollen under my chin-and sore...this seems like it will never end. So I took a sick day today to stay home and take pain killers...plus be sure the new antibiotic will work...but I am feeling VERY optimistic about that. I HOPE!!!!!

So I got a massive amount of sleep last night-like almost 12 hours...how much of that is Vicadin and how much is me needing it, but that helps a lot. No rush to do anything today- though I do have tests to grade later, which I will do. I hope. Otherwise, another vegitative day in this house for me.
