More Paint Pouring

Happy Friday. Another week has flown by. I must be having lots of fun because work weeks never went by this quickly. Smile!

Today I have a page for Wendy's bird challenge at Art Journal Journey

I mentioned pouring paint on Wednesday this week, and it is also what I used to create the background for this page. It's another of my first try practice pages. You can see I used a credit card to spread some of the paint out and also to create some lines.

Some of you commented how it seemed like pouring paint was a waste of paint or made a mess. Yes, it could be both, but I hate wasting paint and  other disposable  supplies, so I only poured a bit on the page and did not let it run over the edge of my paper. I did really like the thick surface it created, and the colors are bold. Also,  the blending is random so that it is always an adventure to see what you get.

Once the paint dried, I added some large stamped and fussy color flowers. I used some pink paint to create the colorful stamen "tips" and also added some various pink sequins to the centers to add some depth. The birds are from an old clear stamp set from 7Gypsies (you may remember them from back in the early to mid 2000's) that I fussy cut. On the smaller bird I added a silver paper crown. And finally I stamped the quote.

I am also linking up to day 20 at Art Everyday Month.

Have a great start to your weekend. And of course, thanks for visiting!
