Apple Cider Mimosas for T Day

While the hubby was in the hospital I seemed to eat out a lot. First of all I had no time to grocery shop, and second of all, it was too easy to grab something for a late lunch  while the hubby was napping before I would  head back to the hospital. Then I only needed a light snack once I got home in the evening.
So one day my sister-in-law came down for a visit, which was a little to early for my husband. He was still not ready for visitors so we decided to go get a little late lunch and let him rest. We each had one of these apple cider mimosas, which were actually quite good. I'm not sure what they actually put into them but they didn't taste (or make me feel) like they had much alcohol in them.
There are 3 glasses because my daughter was also with us.
To go along with this mimosa, I had this crab cake BLT sandwich with sweet potato fries. Since it was huge, I skipped the roll and the ate most of the filling, along with too many of those sweet potato fries.

It definitely got my blood sugar back up and got me ready to go back to the hospital. :)
So what have you been drinking and eating? Stop by  Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog Altered Book Lover for another T for Tuesday installment.
Happy Tuesday. :)

I love regular champagne/orange juice mimosas and didn't realize there was another kind. These days we're spicing our cider and serving it hot. Your sandwich looks tasty, and those fries! yummmm :) Happy T Tuesday!

I do hope your hubby is coming along well dear Erika, but recovery after such surgery can take time. Your mimosas look very refreshing, and your meal-YUM!! Happy T day, and thanks for your earlier visit and comment:)

Wow, that was some lunch. Mimosa, crab cake BLT, and sweet pot fries sound absolutely delicious. Of course, since I don't drink alcohol, mine would be virgin. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a teetotaler, just don't like the taste of it, or the lack of control after one tiny sip.

Thanks for sharing this lunch with us for T this nearly Tuesday. BTW, it's great that your hubby is doing better.

I have no idea what a Mimosa is (apart from a tree with yellow flowers) but it sure looks delicious. I think I will like it as I do like apple cider. I have it on my blog too by pure chance.
Your meal looks scrummy. I'd love to try that. No, I probably leave the bread too.
I'm glad your husband is recuperating slowly. Easy does it.
Happy T-Day,
hugs

Oh my goodness, please please can I be invited when you go out for a lunch like that again - apple cider mimosas and crab cake BLT with sweet potato fries sounds perfectly delicious to me! :-) I am now so hungry and there is not a crab cake in sight, I think I may have to get my recipe books out again (this seems to happen everytime I visit your blog on a Tuesday ... lol) :-). Glad you had a good time with your sister and daughter and I hope your hubby is doing well! Wishing you happiness this T Day! J :-)

I'm not sure about those mimosas...I'm pretty stuck in my ways about it being oj and champagne. Crab cake BLT certainly sounds interesting...I'd give it a go.
Take care!!

The sandwich looks delicious and I do love sweet potato fries - I am not sure about the drink it looks as though it has a lot of sugar and would send my readings off the scale! Chrisx

I like a regular mimosa as Diverse and Sundry described. It is our tradition to have them for New Years brunch but rarely in between. I'd like to try the version you had.

Looked back a post at the cookies, they sound like something I'd like. I like that you can vary the recipe.
