The Comfort of a Little Light

Happy new week everyone. The weather never cleared up this weekend, but at least today (Sunday) we didn't have as much wind and rain as yesterday.
 And no snow today either.

It wasn't much snow but we now officially have had our first white ground for the season.
Oh boy.
I've been staying up late watching baseball this weekend. They have been fantastic games. The tough part is the games aren't ending until after midnight (3:30 in the morning for the Friday night game- but that's about 3 hours later than I can handle, even with a little nap mid-game).  It's one thing on the weekend, another when you have to get up early for work. But I know there will be a lot of tired folks in school tomorrow, just not sure whether I will be one or not. Let's see how the game goes tonight.
And finally since October is winding down, I have one last page to link up to Linda's Creature Comfort page at Art Journal Journey.
The page is from this week's spread in my calendar journal.  I attached the grey-blue paper over the page, drew and colored in the candle with a white fat tipped marker. Then I used yellow paint drips for the wax and some red and yellow paint for the flame. And finally I decided to use the spooky golden eyed tape to finish off the page.

That's all for me. Have a great start to the new week.

A super page with a fantastic sentiment! Love the washi tape at the top and bottom too!

Stunningly beautiful photos also, though to think that snow has started already before October is out is a little scary.

We are on our way back from Australia, with a stopover in Aby Dhabi, I saw on the news that your team won, so congrats!! I'll aim to get my AT coins out to you as soon as I can, but realistically it will probably be early next week.

My friend Sally told me she was up through the 15th inning the other night, then fell asleep. I am NOT a baseball fan, so can't get excited at all, even though it's the World Serious. Sally is rooting for Boston, though. I only like it in a stadium, but find it too boring on TV.

Today was beautiful in my world and the leaves are, for the first time in many, many years, STUNNING. They rival anything I have ever seen on the east coast.

I am SO in awe of your amazing candle. It is truly beautiful and glows, too. It was great that you share it with us at Art Journal Journey, too.

Great photos. It's got very cold here with winds blowing icy blasts from the North Pole. Lovely journal page. Have a good week, hugs, Valerie

We didn't get snow or you would have heard me howling. Glad that candle is keeping those creepy eyes at bay. I didn't really watch the Series. These championship games are too intense for me. Himself watched though he didn't stay up for the entire Friday game. Yup, lots of tired people can go to bed early tonight happy their team won. Have a great day!

I love how beautiful your clever made candle glows and the fitting quote is great to it. And the washi is the icing on the cake! SUPER!
I adore your last entry for the Ocotber theme at Art Journal Joureny! Thank you very much for so many fantastic projects and pages linked to this month's collection at AJJ dear Erika! Much appreciated! Sounds and looks strange with the first snow - gosh - that early in the year!
Congrats on your team - super made!
I am not familiar with football - for me it is simply a mystery what they do ....

Soccer is a bit easier to understand but I am neither a soccer fan. Can't believe that 22 men run around one little ball....
not my world!

Big hugs,
Susi

We escaped any of the white stuff this weekend here in Nashua, Erika. We didn't escape the downpours and wind throughout the entire day on Saturday. which was a good day for inside chores. I didn't watch any of the world series, but am glad the east coast beat the west coast!

Wow! I keep reading about people who already have snow. We're expecting a high of 81 tomorrow. This weather is unusual.

I love your candle and that quote, though I think I'll keep cursing the darkness even if I light the candle ;)

snow-NO!! Although it got quite chilly here we only (thankfully) got rain on Saturday all day. Your candle and quote is beautiful! Thanks so much for linking again to AJJ!

Those leaves are so pretty!

And that snow is creeping me out. Just saying!

I'll be catching up but probably not commenting everywhere -- can't wait to see what you've been up to this month!
