Happy Friday

Hi everyone. The weekend is almost here.  I have no plans this weekend which makes me very excited. I've been having a lot of fun lately but I need a little recharge time before we reach the holidays (which is hard to believe) next weekend.  Plus my house is a mess, the laundry pile is practically taller than me, I have a few gifts to wrap up and packages to prepare to mail and my art studio is calling my name. Loudly. (Maybe I can even get my Christmas cards made, finally. If not, they are going to be New Years cards.)
And I have a lazy urge to sit in front of the tv for a bit and watch an old holiday movie, which I have yet to do this year.
These are not complaints but my excitement for some me time!
Do you have any fun weekend plans?
Today I have another spread from my December journal.
This is a double page spread for 2 days from this month.
I began by covering both pages with some music printed tissue paper. On the left is a printed image of the cover of some music for Frosty the Snowman.  Then I added a couple of stamped tickets which I fussy cut out afterwards, as well as soe holiday paper tape and some shiny red star stickers. I matched the right page with the music tissue paper, washi tape, shiny red star stickers and stamped ticket. But then I added 2 journal tags I had as well as numbers for those days.
I am so happy with Elizabeth's Tis the Season part of her theme over at Art Journal Journey because this journal fits so well. (Even if I'm not making lots of different season pages)
That's all for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.

Your pages are gorgeous. I wish you lots of time to do all the things that do you good over the weekend. I want to do some baking to get ready for my birthday next week, apart from that, no big plans! Have a great day, put your feet up, the laundry can wait! Hugs, Valerie

The Frosty pages are so happy. Made me smile which is a good way to begin any day. Himself and I watched a new to us Christmas movie on Netflix. The Christmas Chronicles. Very cute. In between all the things you have to do, hope you get a bit of time to relax. Enjoy your day!

Isn't it great to have a weekend with no plans at the holidays? Of course, you DO have plans, sounding from the list you posted here -- but at least you'll have the time to get at them! We have Cork Poppers and my Canadian friend Suzanne coming, so definitely plans -- but fun ones!

You are definitely busier than I am! Your days sound filled with seasonal activities, and I hope you make a Christmas movie part of the fun :) I always liked Frosty, and your page reminds me I haven't seen it in several years. Your festive music background and those snowman pics get me in the mood for the season :)

I am SO loving this wonderful December journal, Erika. Another wonderful entry today. Of particular note was the washi tape you used on both sides, the music tissue, which made a fabulous backdrop, and those red star stickers that were the absolute perfect touch to this entry. Thank you beyond belief for sharing this with us using my theme at Art Journal Journey. This is fabulous.

Love your Frosty the Snowman page. Now I am singing his song quietly in my head. The opposite page has a very jolly snowman, he Is lovely and I like all the elements you have added to your pages. Nice and colourful.
Oh Erika, I think a nice curl up in front of tv with an old movie sounds ideal. Hope you get to do it.
Hugs, Anita x

Plans for the weekend? I think I sometimes get stopped dead in my tracks by the word "plan!" In any event, I am sure my wife will need me to do things in preparation for Christmas, which we are hosting this year, other than that I have a stack of books just crying out to be read, and that seems about as good as anything to me. If the weather picks up a little we may also go searching for Snowy Owls.

I am really enjoying your December pages Erika, loving the combo of beige/brown and red here with Frosty looking so happy and jolly! That music tissue paper is just fabulous! Like I said before, integrating the tags is fab too. Hope you get some real relaxing time this weekend, you sound as if you need it!

Your snowmen pages are fabulous fun - I wonder with all the snow you get if you make many real ones too?
Hope you managed to get your cards done - I actually finished in October this year and have 22 left over for next year to try to get ahead to be able to have more art time.

Woowww I love love this spread page Erika !! The background is super beautiful with this music paper, and the snow man looks very happy.
this year I have made fewer Christmas cards than last year, because I'm making blankets for the sofa, with wool and needles, and I need a lot of time to knit, I already have finished two blankets, but I have to do two more, let´s see if I can get them.
I send you a big hug, happy week,
Caty
