Hi everyone. Winter surprised us here in parts of New Hampshire by arriving early with 2 good sized snow storms back to back, so here it is Wednesday (well I am posting Tuesday night since I wrote this and figured I might as well post rather than scheduling) and finally I am heading back to school after the Thanksgiving holiday.
I must admit with this won't go away chest cold that it was nice to have the extra time relaxing at home, including some relaxing art time too.
One thing I made was this tag which works perfectly for the White Christmas challenge at Tag Tuesday
You can see the music tissue paper on the the background as well as Santa and some snowflakes.
And while I had the snowflake dies out, I also made this spread in my new mini-winter journal.
The words are what inspired this particular spread, so I will link it up to Yvonne's Words and Numbers challenge at Art Journal Journey.
My background is blue, shimmery silver and grey inks, and I then I added many die cuts, gemstones and some paper ephemera from my stash.
I guess all the snow we've gotten lately has inspired me, but better that than just complaining about having to shovel.
Smile.
Thanks for visiting!

LOVE your wintry tag Erika, perfect for our challenge at TT, thanks so much for linking to us there. Love the journal pages, too, you are in winter mood. Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie
Beautiful Christmas pages. Your banner is stunning ;)
Happy day to you xx
Brilliant pages Erika, its perfect for the festive season.
I hope the extra days off mean you will soon be feeling better. I know how these winter illnesses can linger. Your tag is very Christmas-y. I like it a lot. Of course, I adore the journal spread you created for Art Journal Journey. Its adorable and works well with Yvonne's theme there. Thanks so much for the support. Now PLEASE get to feeling better.
Snow already?! Here it usually hits in February and I´ll be glad if it does not. I have snowflakes to put on the window, what was I thinking, ALDI sometimes gets me with the offers!
I like especially the first piece.
Though... here we celebrate on 24th! Well, reckon Santa needs a while to get over to you, so he starts early here ;-)
I love the tag and the spread is amazing as well Erika!
This green blue for the background is my cup of tea.
Hope you feel recovered after the break and the chest cold has gone completely now! Our snow is still here , but not much. It's so cold but just now the sun is coming out and maybe she will melt the harsh snow down a bit soon.
At least the snow blower had something to do already and we could see it works properly after the summer break.
Big hugs,
Susi
I really like both of these, Erika, though that first Santa tag and the wonderful colors and layers especially speaks to me! I hope you can kick that cold before the holidays fully set in. Try to stay as cozy as you can.
Your Santa tag would make a lovely gift tag. while I like the colors of your mini-Winter journal, I could do without the snow. Glad you're feeling better. At least it's a short week.
I'm sorry your cold is hanging on and am happy you got some time off to nurse it. I love your tag with those sparkly elements and that gold edge. I've never lived where you have to shovel snow. Here we get excited over individual flakes lol
It sounds like you are feeling a bit better today Erika.
The Christmas tag looks lovely and I am in love with your journal spread. the snowflake die cuts look so pretty.
It is a lovely sentiment and I can see how it inspired you on. Snow fall where you live must have helped as well, it seems we get snow earlier each year.
Thank you so much for creating the pages for my theme at Art journal Journey.
Yvonne xx
Love both the tag and the journal spreads. The icy blue is perfect.
You must have gotten the same two storms that we did. What a mess!
Happy T day!
What a lovely tag, perfect for the theme!! The Santa and snowflakes add a beautiful bit of color.
I also like your journal page, very nice! Feel better soon!
Lovely background for the santa and snowflakes, a great tag.
And Beautiful journal page.
Gorgeous festive creations Erika! xx
The Santa tag is wonderful with this music sheet as background (I hear him singing :))
These icy blue snowflakes are perfect for both artworks to think of snow and christmas!
We have no snow - it did not stay - but it is icy cold outside.
Wish you a happy day! Hugs-Rike
Hi Erika hope you are feeling better soon my friend.
I love your xmas tag and your winter journal pages are stunning ,well done Erika on all your beautiful work xx
Sending you healing thoughts and wishes! Both of your pages are so beautiful, I love the vintage Christmas look and feel - perfect 😁. I hope the snow melts soon! Stay warm and wishing you a happy Friday and Weekend! Hugs, Jo x
Your artwork is lovely. I made a few tags, but I don't think they have enough white in them to qualify for the challenge. I like your new blog header image too. (I just noticed it.) I'm sorry your head cold is lingering. I had one a month or two ago, and it took it awhile to go away. Ugh on the two snow storms. I got lucky, because we were forecast to get a plowable snowfall, but I ended up in a pocket that didn't get much of the white stuff thankfully. I love photographing the moon, but once Winter cold arrives, I usually don't get many photos of it (because my fingers freeze before I can get any good shots).
What a lovely tag, that strip of gold across the top really draws my eyes to it, and what a charming Father Christmas he is.
Lovely journal page too - a new mini journal - I like having several on the go at once. Nice to see that snowy background, I bet it really does glisten in real life. Love the Victorian scrap if that is what the picture of the two girls is - very evocative.
hugs, Neet xx
Fabulous tag and journal page, love the background on the tag and the strips of gold. Thank you for joining us on Tag Tuesday.
