Hi everyone. Happy new week.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
It was a busy weekend for me with my daughter home for most of it. My husband finished his boat and put it into the water, and we all (daughter, husband, myself and the 2 dogs) went for our first voyage of the season. The sun was nice, but the wind was cool. Luckily the sun was out all weekend, but today rain is due in which is OK with me. We do need it, and I want some art and me time after being on everyone else's schedule this past weekend.
Thought I would share a few more pages from my mini summer lady book. As I mentioned last time I showed you this journal, the pages are 4x4 inches (around 10x10 cm). My theme was summer and feminine combined.
The backgrounds are painted with either watered down acrylic paint or watercolor paint. On the first spread I used some printed tissue paper to add to the background, and then added some various stickers and washi tape, as well as some gold foiled daisies.
On spread 2, I used some rose ephemera cut outs, some paper, a plastic crown that I took off a greeting card as well as some plastic gemstones I added, metallic mini sun and butterfly charms as some white metallic paper trim.
Finally on my last spread I used some washi tape, an acetate daisy sticker, some stamped bumble bees as well as a sticker phrase and some more gold foiled paper.
All of the ladies are cut from an old FLOW magazine. There was a page that had 12 of these sketches in their rip out section, so I ripped them out and used them here.
That's all for me today. Thanks so much for visiting.

Fun journal. Enjoy your art and me time. Looks like two days of rainy weather.
Glad you had a good weekend, even if it was busy. I love your lady book, the pages are all beautiful. Have a great week, with lots of time just for you to play! Hugs, Valerie
Pretty! and "live free and let it be" is an inspiring thought.
I am just listening to "Let The Sunshine In" by the 5th Dimension which suits your very pretty pages about sun, happiness and the vibrant hues.
These pages are simply incredible. I love the feminine feel to these pages. They are great. This is a journal you can be quite proud of, Erika.
Glad you had time and fun with your family this weekend and I hope you find lots of me time this week.
I love seeing your journal pages, Erika! They're loaded with fun and so well done. Love the pink!
Three cheers for family time!
I love your quirky ladies. What a fun book you are making here. The first page with its vibrant pink really woke me up whilst the second page became more subdued with the rose pink. The roses remind me of the visit you made (sorry, it's in the future as I am working backwards) and the final one is full of my second favorite flowers, daisies. I always feel awake and fresh whenever I see pictures of daisies.
So glad you had a lovely weekend and hubby got the boat out.
Hugs, Neet xx
These pages from your Summer lady journal are fabulous - love the daisy page especially! Hugs, Chrisx
