Time for a New Try It on Tuesday Challenge

Hi everyone. Happy Tuesday. The last 2 weeks flew by, and it's already time for a new challenge at Try It on Tuesday.

Let me first thank everyone who joined our Make It Magical challenge. I also want to thank Lorraine of Lorraine's Loft who hosted that challenge. ❤

For the next 2 weeks our challenge is:   SPARKLE ALL THE WAY

I hope you can make out the glitter on all the snow! Here's a slightly different adjustment of my photo that might help.

I'm not sure how much better this view is either, but I did add a lot of glitter glue to the snow.

This page is in my small journal, and it started with a spring page that I really disliked. It's amazing what some blue paint can do. I then added a fussy cut evergreen tree (that I cut from a sheet of paper) as well as punch out bare winter deciduous tree. I added some white paint snow. Then I added some punch out birds as well as a chipboard owl. The punch-out birds weren't  changed any way except for the top bird in the evergreen where I highlighted the eye area with white (so it would stand out better).

The chipboard owl was colored with Sharpies and some other markers. I also used a white pen on it.  I added a lot of white glitter glue to the snow. I also used a very old Penny Black snow word stamp for the words on the background. The stamp was too large to stamp completely, so I just stamped the edges (as an after thought) over the sky.  Finally I used 2 very old Cheery Lynn dies to make the words winter and day.

I am also linking my page up Creative Artsite Mixed Media challenge blog #110#.

Glitter isn't the only way to add some sparkle to your creation. Be sure to check out the other designer's pieces too.  And as you probably know, our TIOT runs for the next 2 weeks and we accept all types of art.

I hope you have some sparkle in your life and decide to join this challenge.

If there’s an owl it must be good! All the best - David

I could easily spot the glitter on both photos, but the 2nd one is more obvious. A beautiful page, not a typical winter one, but GREAT!

Pretty page, but it's way too early for snow!

Love all the texture you have gathered in this page in your journal. It is fabulous that you saved a page fro spring and turned it into winter in this way. Love the trees and the birds.

Erika, that snow must shine so much from all the glitter! It's awesome how you converted a spring page to a winter one, haha! Love the scenery. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Creative Artiste for our Anything Mixed Media Goes challenge! xx Anita

Another super challenge I missed but so uplifting to see all that sparkle. Clever seasonal conversion from spring to winter just like real time with our changing seasons.. lovely mixed media journal page, I know how much you enjoy creating them.
