My Friday Tags

Hi everyone. Its another Friday already.
Been  a busy  and speedy week here. I've been playing in the studio and also doing some de-cluttering after work each day. We started off really cold this week but are back to cool but more spring like temperatures right now.  I will take those. Anything to get this snow to melt some more.
So here's some tags I've played with during the week. This top one started with a single stamp, this great tea pot and bird by Magenta, which I then decided to turn into a mini painting.
I like it enough I might actually turn it into a full painting. Feels kind of tropical and exotic to me. I like that.
And roughs seas here. I painted the background and then added the birds.
And a little romantic tag. The colors are really a little brighter than the photo shows but not much.
And this last tag is different from the others, not quite me but I have been trying to push myself. Time to try new things to expand my standard techniques.
I had to add the skirt on the cut out. She looks so much more finished. Ha-ha.
I also finally found the right book to hold my tags.  I removed the original pages and painted the outside and inside covers this past week. Now I need to add new  pages so I can adhere my tags.
And thought I'd show you what's left for snow in my backyard.
We've got mud too!
Eeks!

It has gone down a lot! But with the cold temperatures during March snow didn't disappear as fast as I'd like.
But what can you do about that?
I am linking this to Paint Party Friday. Thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting. Stop by and check out all the great art posted.
Thanks to you all for stopping by blog. Have a great weekend.

You have made lovely tags all, Erika. Perhaps my favourite the first one with the coffee pot, I like the colours. Also the second one, birds. Waw, so much snee you have still! We did not have that much this whole winter! But its melting soon when the warmth comes. Wishing you a artsy new week again!Sirkka

Love the tags! Birds and teapots just seem to go together :) Glad to see the snow leaving, but sad for you and the muddy paws.

Oh, that little bird on the kettle just stole my heart!
And the snow. For crying out loud. That's crazy! Hope you see warmer temps soon.

I really love your tags, all of them. Can't wait for the snow to be gone.

Erika, i loved your tags. Each one of them is so detailed that they could really become an art journal page or painting on their own. Did you die-cut the birds or cut them by hand? I loved the first two tags especially. Great bright colors.

Gorgeous tags!! I think my favorite is the teapot too!! Long before blogging we could never really feel the full impact of those in the east who suffered long winters...but as time passes nicely into seasons in the West I can feel the pain of the east being left behind... So many bloggers are so fed up with it. Although it's beautiful for a short stint I'm am starting to really understand the full frustration! Thanks for sharing!!

Hugs Giggles
May you see Spring in true form soon!!

Thankfully our snow has al melted-but you're right-a lot of mud now! Love all your tags- and the book is a great way to keep them all together. Happy PPF!

Erika, I love the tags you make. That teakettle stamp is fabulous and yes, that would make a wonderful painting. It does have a tropical feeling I think. How glad I am that I don't live near you! All that snow in late March, yikes! Surely the earth is warming up and it will soon be gone.

Super tags - they are all different and all beautiful. It's fun to paint tags-kind of instant gratification

that top tag would make an amazing painting... and it feels quite tropical to me, which is very different from those photos... that looks very wet, cold and muddy to me!

You make such lovely tags, I like the way you have painted the teapot and bird and made a full tag painting from it.
The sea does look rough and I like the swooping seagulls, not forgetting the bird looking comfortable on the post.
