There's a new challenge over at Try It on Tuesday.
Feminine and Frilly!
And for the upcoming fortnight I am a guest designer. How fun is that?
Many grateful thanks to the lovely hostesses at TIOT for asking me.
So when thinking about feminine and frilly the first thing I thought of was a lacy ruffled dress. For my journal page I used this Gelli print background and then stenciled some dress forms onto it. I made the stencil by die cutting TH dress form and using the remains as my stencil. Then I took the dress form and used that as the base for my hand made outfit. I had some scrap pink lace which layered to make the skirt. Then I drew and cut out the shirt, which I finished off with some more of the pink lace.
So I had this piece of pearly like trim which I added onto the dress, along with some mini 3D heart stickers which worked perfect for buttons. I really had fun making this outfit. I felt like the fashion designers on Project Runway (one of my favorite shows).
The shoes are stamped, colored and cut out, along with the purses and words I added to the background.
So have some fun and get girly. Post your Feminine and Frilly pieces at TIOT, and if that's not your style, but sure to stop by and check out all the pieces. maybe you'll even get inspired to release your feminine side.
Thanks for visiting!

HUGE congratulations, Erika. And of course, I am a big fan of fashion dresses, even though don't wear them. I do like to design them, though. And yours are fun, very feminine and live up to the challenge title this fortnight. I'd wear that lace outfit any day!
