Fall Flowers

Happy December everyone. We're already in the last month of 2018! Wow!
Today I am joining in for Bleubeard and Elizabeth's challenge over at Art Journal Journey. This is a page from my calendar journal which seems really out of place here in New Hampshire right now, since we are crisp with some  crusty snow still on the ground. The tall flowers were already in the calendar for coloring, but I added the small stamped ones, the words, the yellow background spots and also stamped the postmark.  It is a nice fall garden view. One thing I love about the seasons is that they each have their own color, and these are definitely the colors of autumn.
I also have a flash back to 2014 and a card I made for a niece at Christmas which I am linking over at Second on the Second, also over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's.
I made a little pocket on the backside to enclose her gift and die cut the skate from a Sizzix skate die.
You can see the full post here: Saturday Afternoon Project.
I'm off on a weekend mini-road trip so I probably won't get to link this up until later tomorrow.
Happy new month and thanks so muc for visiting.

Bye, bye Autumn. Today marks the start of meteorological Winter. We got a dusting of snow last night. Wow! That skate is a die cut? I thought it was real. What a great card! Enjoy your road trip.

What a wonderful surprise to see these lovely autumn flowers. You are right that each season has its own colors and this definitely says autumn has arrived. You colored the flowers beautifully, and the stamped ones are perfect, too. Thank you so much for joining me at Art Journal Journey with your first entry this month, dear Erika.

Wow, that skate was incredible. I checked out the project and hadn't realized that you sewed the laces until I read it on your original post. These were all wonderful and some great cards, too. Have fun on your mini road trip and thanks for sharing this with us as your second look on the 2nd, dear friend.

These fall flowers are really lovely with their warm Autumn colours. I like the grasses at the bottom too.
The skate is terrific and the blade looks real. We have ice skating in the city this month, 'tis the Season for ice skating, so this is appropriate to the AJJ theme this month too.

I tend to rush towards Christmas when December comes around, so your Autumn reminder is a good one. My pumpkins are still on the patio amidst the fallen leaves :)

I love your bold fall flowers - fabulous strong stems and rich colours, and great words to go with them (and now I'm humming the song too). A very seasonal 2nd on the 2nd too.
