Warmth

Hi everyone. Here in my world the cold has arrived. The real cold with some strong Arctic wind blowing too.  Brrr. I wish I didn't have to go out this morning into the cold and could sit home and watch garden shows on Netflix. But I am tough and I can handle this January winter blast. (smile)
So to make the cold a little more bearable, I have this warm journal page for today. I made a bright yellow background and stamped some circles with a point in each, this vintage parakeet photo (from a Flow magazine), a puzzle piece, and lots of lines to make letters and numbers (and underline those numbers too).
And with  all these geometric shapes  I am going to link up to Alison's challenge at Art Journal Journey
And it's Friday. This was a long week at work for me, but that always happens at the end of the quarter. One more week to go and then we'll reach the halfway point of the school year. And even if this week was long, the school year is flying by.
Hope you had a good week and an even better weekend.

Great quote and a great idea to use warm colours to warm you up. I don't envy you the cold. I've been freezing this week but it isn't really THAT cold here... love the budgies :-)

A happy page. Your parakeets remind me of a pair my auntie had. A blue and green one. Pretty Boy Robert and Pretty Boy Blue. I liked to listen to them chirp. Thanks for the happy memory. And hooray for almost halfway through the school year

I'm glad I'm at a point in life when I can stay in when I want to ;) tho it never gets cold in Memphis like it gets cold where you are lol

I have society finches, but I like parakeets, too. They are such sweet birds, and I like how you've featured them here. Birds as pets are a good excuse for turning up the heat in your house, as they don't like being chilly.

This page warms my heart - we have it very cold and so much snow - I can need this vibrancy and warmth! Thank you! And I love this sentiment!
Hope you can relax soon after the long week and enjoy your home! Thank you for yet another fabulous entry for Alison's theme!

Big, big hugs!

By the time you read this, you will be warm and toasty and won't have to go out unless you choose to. I saw the forecast for Sat (today, yes, I'm late) and it appears Boston and your area isn't supposed to be affected. The weather people are predicting up to 7 inches of snow in Kansas City today when the Chiefs play. We are supposed to get 2 inches at most, but it rained and rained and rained the entire day yesterday. Very cold and I was out in it.

Your latest AJJ entry is very warming, from the romantic appeal of the birds to the warm colors to the uplifting sentiment. I am in AWE!!! Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey, dear.

Such a bright and cheery page to cheer up the grey skies here today! I can't complain though as we had had some lovely sunny days this week ...lol 😉. Your birdies are so cute and the heart with the quote is beautiful! Happy weekend! J 😊 x

No snow here (fine by me) but very cold indeed! The warm colors on your page do seem tropical and sorely needed these days!

Sweet little budgies, Erika. They do look warm and cosy.
I hope the memory of it keeps you warm on your travels.
Have a nice relaxing weekend.

Thanks for correcting me, dear Erika. You can tell I don't watch much football. However, I was SURE the Pats had won, but didn't bother looking it up.

According to Sally, the Chiefs have looked good all year. Our local tv stations were making such a big deal of it, I decided to watch. It was an interesting game, and yes, they did kick butt!

That is a sweet quote to go with your sweet budgies. Birds of any description always make me smile, especially the ones in my garden. I could watch them for hours.
Great idea to use warm colours to warm yourself up - although it is not cold here it is bleak (dark and wet and windy) so your page has warmed me up no end.
Hugs, Neet xx
