The Big Green Line

 Happy Thursday everyone.

Today I'll share this piece of art for Chris' Hold the Line challenge at Art Journal Journey

I thought the piece of green fabric trim made a great line. The flower is drawn by me and colored with oil pastels, acrylic paint, and watercolor markers. The page is from a Dina Wakely journal on a piece of denim. It is my garden themed journal.
I also thought I would share a few more photos from my second trip to Bedrock Gardens 3 weeks ago.
The garden art there was really fun. I'm not sure who the artist(s) was, but someone made clever use of old bits and pieces.

There was a whole row of these fun people. Here's 3 for today.

I  love how each one has a distinct personality!

Another one of those fun giant bugs.

I like this chef too.

And finally, this lone hand, just sitting in the garden. I'm going to say it's waving goodbye for me today.

Have a great day!

I love your painted flower and the vibrant green used. A really nice page you made. The pics are fun and that artist has a great imagination, I love the 3 guys with the last one being my favourite. A final high five to you!

I like the bright green line. Summer hanging on. The sculptures are awesome. I'm thinking they would look great in the Zensical garden

Nice artwork. And I love the statues at that garden center you visited. The artist was very clever, reusing bits and pieces of things like that.

Love that flower and the denim-idea. Maybe I´m too old, but I don´t care, I have a comic-emu-baby on my jeans, and I smile every time I see it. That flower would be perfect, too!
Fun sculptures, they have character! A nice way to start the morning, thank you and have a great day!

Like you, I'm running far behind. Your journal page is beautiful and I love the flower. Great composition and pretty green line, too. Just perfect for CHris's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.
WOW, those sculptures really spoke to me. Such clever ideas and great use of recycled materials. I'm SO glad you shared these with us. I'm truly impressed. I like all of these, Erika.

You asked about the bamboo. YES, it's bamboo. I hate it. Tried to get rid of it twice and it comes back stronger each time. Thanks for asking.

Wow! Where to look first ? Your page is truly striking - I love the dramatic denim background for your beautiful flower and the green trim really adds more! Thank you so much for creating this page for my theme - it's fabulous! You shouldn't have mentioned the gardens, as I did go off and have a skim through before returning to the comment box! What fabulous art installations around - love those mechanical guys!! Have a great weekend, Chrisx
