Trees and Waves

Hi everyone. It's a chilly day  with some wind here in New Hampshire. I'm excited for a (hopefully)  me day now that my daughter has gone back to her home and all my week's appointments are over. I'm ready for one.
Today's art is a tag I made for Pinky's challenge at Tag Tuesday. It's all about TREES this time.

I made a page with lots of stamping. I stamped the tree in black and then the various falling leaves in autumn colors.
After that I glued down a piece of printed acetate. On the acetate is a basic drawing of the chemical makeup of DNA. I like the little bit of detail it adds to the piece, as well as giving the tag a bit of a shine.  I finished by stamping  the quote. I thought with all the leaves on my tag, and none of them are attached to the tree, that raking and  the joy of jumping into the leave pile would be perfect. Not that I any longer jump into the leave piles. But you never know... Smile.

Thought I would show you a few photos from one of my walks this week with my daughter. We went to Odiorne State Park one afternoon and walked for a couple of hours. Many New Hampshire State Parks are still limiting attendance and require reservations, which means that during much of our walk we didn't see anyone. And when we did see  people, we could keep a big distance away from them.

Odiorne State Park is on the ocean and also contains a stretch of forest. It is nice to have this ocean front property protected by the state so it can't be developed with large homes.  Especially when New Hampshire only has 18.5 miles (29.7 km) of coastline.

That's all for me.  Hope you are having a great day!

Love, love, love your gorgeous tag, thanks so much for joining us again at Tag Tuesday. Wonderful photos, too, you had a great trip. Here the day got off to a bad start - no electricity, no heating, no internet, no phone. And it's cold. And no electricity meant no coffee. And the trams and buses are on strike again, hells bells, what a friggin' day!Electricity is back on, and internet, but no heating, and it's cold! Hope our day is better, hugs, Valerie

The park is beautiful and quite impressive. It looks like such a good time. I saw kids jumping in leaves the other day and oh, it made me smile!

That public beach, especially since there are also woodlands, must be a wonderful place to wander.

Beautiful tag! Loving the autumnal coloured leaves - gorgeous 😁. So nice to see the pretty woodland and sea views, I love this about New Hampshire - so beautiful! Looks like you had the place to yourselves too. Wishing you a very Happy Anniversary too! Hugs, Jo x

How spooky was that, just about to pop on over & your were at my door.. two minds as one!! You tag is fabulous, it resembles wood burning. Super images. I've not even had chance to pop on over to TT & see what the challenge is. What a week it's been and like you i'm hoping to get some free me time and maybe some sleep in between. Your photo's are awesome, there's plenty i'd like to stop and paint along the way.
Take care & make some time for you... Hugs Tracey x

I enjoyed your tag. I really liked that you used the DNA too. Somewhere I read that each tree has different DNA and you can tell the type of tree it is because of that. I'm always impressed with geeky things like that. The tree is awesome and the stamping is great.

You and your daughter had a wonderful time, didn't you? That is very barren , rocky land. I'm glad it's isolated and you were able to get some truly awesome photos of your time there.

I so wish people would rake, no, here they have these LOUD blasters!
The colors and the formular on your tag are beautifully clever, though!

Wonderful pictures!

Wonderful tree tag with all the wild beauty of autumn. And it looks like you had that magnificent park pretty much all to yourselves, so a brilliant way to stay safe from others!

Great tag! Captures the fun of Fall leaves. I love leaf piles and haven't done one in years. Hard to do around here with mostly pines - ouch! LOL.

Keep posting these great pictures!!!!

I love your Fall tree / leaf tag. Great for the season. You're lucky NH made that a State Park, so residents can enjoy the beach area. I didn't learn until later in life that NH had any coastline: I thought it was land locked. Then I discovered that little stretch that goes along the ocean. (I've never been there. I've been to other parts of NH.) It looks beautiful there.
