Another Tag

Hi everyone.  I just realized it is already July 8th. Time please slow down.

We're back with more rain here, with more due tomorrow depending how close to New Hampshire the  remnants of what was hurricane Elsa track. It does look the the weekend is going to be nice however.

Today I want to share another tag for Valerie's vintage challenge at Tag Tuesday

I started by stamping this number image on the base of the tag and then by rubbing some varied colored inks horizontally on it. I went back and lightly added some brown ink over the colors to get a more vintage look.

I outlined the edges in black marker and white pen and also added a scrap of black metallic paper trim to the top.
I used this TH gentleman and then added some  word stickers and the vintage circle sticker. I finally finished my tag with this cigar label.

Last week I went back to Bedrock Gardens. You may remember my walking friend and myself bought season passes.  The exciting news is we discovered there are lots of other gardens nationwide we can visit for free with this pass.  More to come there.

It was amazing how much Bedrock Gardens had changed since I last visited at the end of May. And not just the blooms.

I love these new birdhouses along the stone wall and all the new assembled "bugs".

Of course the blooms had changed also.
Can you see the honey bees at this one?

Last time we visited there were some people hanging some new art. We didn't get in their way, so we checked it out on this trip. One of the exhibits were these cool pod shaped wind chimes made of clay.

And there were also some ceramic mushrooms. They were big!

One of our not retired school friends joined us, and she explained this bent over and tied down tree. Native Americans did that to mark trails in this area . I didn't know that, but I can see how that works!

And the water lilies were in bloom.

More art!

And finally these pink flamingos.  Every time I have visited I have tried to get a good photo of them, and this time I succeeded.

That's all for me.  Thanks for visiting.

Great art and photos. The water lilies are beautiful. Time is flying this year, and I don't like it. Elsa might hit CT tomorrow. :-(

They keep predicting "maybe" rain here, and yet it doesn't come. A bit of rain would be welcome around here.

That garden is lovely, and I think the art features are fun to see.

Great tag with this vintage guy! Love that cool background too. Graffiti comes to mind when I look at it. I like the fun different shape for your tag also. Beautiful photos.

Wonderful dapper gentleman tag. The metal bug and bird sculptures are amazing as are the pink flamingoes, too. Stay safe and dry.

Dearest Erika!!! I miss your blog so much! I haven't been blogging so much until I just got back before the end of June so I am so happy to be back here at your place! Oh this is a place that I will certainly enjoy! It's like a museum of different things set on the beautiful nature, to me these are two amazing settings fused together which I will surely be interested to visit! I really love that spot with two director chairs and a beautiful box of wildflowers in the middle :)
