Halloween Art

Hi everyone. Happy Friday.

I thought today I would share the  last of some Halloween collage style art I have been making in my Halloween Journal. These pages range the gambit from me trying to be spooky to more sweet pages. They were a lot of fun to make, and none of them are very large. They each measure approximately 4x6 inches, but not all the pages in my journal are exactly the same size..

I'm not linking to any challenge, but I wanted to share them before Halloween has come and gone.

This first page is made by layering lots of paper items starting with an oversized playing card, and then using a watercolor crayon to create the green smoke coming out of the old bottle.

This next page is also some paper images. This time I scraped some black glitter glue with an old credit card across the paper to create the background. I also added these little shiny stars, some foiled trim and some small orange plastic dots, as well as stamping the quote.

And here's even more paper layering from my stash in these next witch page. The moon is punched out of a piece of paper,  and I also used another of those guinea fowl feathers feathers I picked up the gardens.

On my next page, I used some crayons, spray paint and left over paint on a  wet wipe to start this next page. Then I glued down some black cheesecloth over a Mr. Pumpkin head  die that I picked up. I really love this die, but I am a little disappointed with all the pieces it takes to make the man. I actually used some of the pieces and then finished creating him my own way, as I really don't like assembling so many of the tiny die cut pieces.

This next page started with a light color painted background, after which I made the dark areas using a cobweb stencil. I used some black tape, an altered cemetery die cut, a TH lady and a few other items in the process also.

This witch photo in the next page looks like me when someone wakes me up (and when I don't want them to). Smile.

I started by using 2 crayons to scribble words on the background. Then I used some scrap paper, a couple of die cuts, an old postage stamp, a couple of stickers, some stenciling, a metal tag and a calendar I cut out of the back of some packaging. The witch at the top left has a bit of a light shadow on her from when I photographed my page, but she is not actually faded out on the top.

And finally, how about some  more paper layering on a piece of black inked green paper.  The star of this page is this  attractive vintage witch. She looks more like a good witch than an evil Halloween one.

I die cut the doily from some printed paper, added a few stickers and some stenciling too.

Next week I will pick up my Halloween art supplies (some stamps, paper and stickers) and put them back in the box that goes back into the attic. I'll pull out my December holiday box when this one goes in, though I must say it is always a bit sad to pack up Halloween. It is good to look forward to Christmas and New Years and  moments in December though, although this year I am not quite there yet. I am still waiting for some extended crisp fall weather to get me into that mood. Or I need to get past Halloween at least-smile.

It is exciting to think of what I will rediscover when my Halloween box comes back out of the attic  early next autumn.

And lastly, today is the hubby's birthday. Yesterday I baked him a banana cake, and when I get home from my beach walk I will frost it.  He asked me for homemade pizza for dinner tonight, and luckily our alma mater's hockey team in playing on a major (local) sports channel tonight so we can watch the game without the issue we sometimes get streaming them. Now all I can do is hope for a win for his birthday.

Have a wonderful start to your weekend, and I hope your Friday is going well.
Thanks for visiting also!

I'm not sure I could pick a favorite -- I like them all (although if I HAD to, I'd go for Mr. Pumpkin Head!)
