Hi everyone.
Today I am sharing an art journal page for the newest challenge at Try It On Tuesday
Thanks to all of you who joined us for our Halloween challenge. There were lots of fun entries.
For the next 2 weeks our theme will be It's About Time. So add your clock, watch or other time related items to your art. Perhaps you will even explore time travel, back in time or into the future. Any kind of art is accepted.
My page today was stenciled, sprayed, painted, splattered. If there's an art technique, it probably has it on it. Smile.
The slightly dark left side inspired me to make a moon and sun page. I added the hand drawn clock too, but at this time of year, there should have been more dark on the page than light. The days are really starting to get shorter and shorter quickly.
And I didn't manage to post this page which is also up on last week's Try It On Tuesday web page.
For this art journal page, I began with a Gelli print that I used some gold paint and some leaves to make. At this time of year my thoughts are always a little bittersweet. I think about time passing, perhaps because we are so far into the year, and I am still usually shocked that we are. The leaves are starting to turn brown and fall from the trees; winter isn't all that far off. Another year is starting to wind down. It can't be possible that we are at this point in time already?
I stamped the Roman number strip as well as many of the clocks. Then I added a bit of paper tape because this TH man needed someplace to stand. I don't think he has anything in his hand, but he does look like he could be holding something, say a pocket watch, even if his watch chain is still in place on his vest.
Finally I stamped the quote, added a few clock face stickers, and also added the colorful autumn leaf.
And don't forget all the rest of the inspiration on the Try It on Tuesday web page. Definitely check out their pieces. This challenge runs through November 8th.
I'm excited to see your art there.
I am also linking up this second journal page to Tracey's My Favorite Colour is October challenge at Art Journal Journey. This art journaling challenge runs through the end of October, so you still a few days left to join us.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Wow, Erika this is stunning. Both your pages are amazing. I like the idea of time travel, something I didn't even consider. Both of these pages show how talented you are. Love the one you created for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.
Both art pieces are wonderful, Erika! Love the colours in the first one and you really have put everything but the kitchen sink on it! And the second one looks like autumn changing to winter as it has a frosty look, great! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
Wowsers Erika! LOVE both art pieces! All that stenciling, sprays and yummy texture is awesome!!! And love the hand drawn clock! Have a fun week! ((HUGS)) Helen
Both are such beautiful pages! The night and day pieces is perfect with the quote and I love your second page with the autumnal vibe - gorgeous 😀. Thanks for the inspiration and Happy wishes! Hugs Jo x
I love both pages Erika, I can appreciate the light and dark in the first page, definitely more dark here atm too. I was just saying to someone how dark it is today, and our clocks are about to change this weekend too. I like the Walt Whitman quote too. In the second page I can totally see him holding a pocket watch for sure, and I love your gel printed background. Thanks for your visit today, I did draw the Poe and the ravens, and I have a second Poe page coming up later in the week, a funny one this time lol. Elle xx

So wonderfully done.
Two fabulous journal pages Erika. Love the light/dark theme with that brilliant quote, the elements really pop against your background. The Gelli print background of the second looks amazing and the time elements along with the quote you added are perfect for the time of year.
Have a great week, Hugs, Avril xx

Hugs, Chrisx
I've had to come here to comment on your T post - my computer is playing up. St Gaudens studio looks such a great place to visit. Hugs, Chrisx
Love how you have played with techniques and just enjoyed the process to create your time piece, so good for the soul to create on a blank canvas and let our creative side take over. Fabulous and expressive, not sure if your clocks go back this Sunday but ours do.. an extra hour of creativity :))
Hugs Tracey xx
Fantastic pages Erika, I love the idea of time travel, great layers and textures. Have a good rest of the week.
