The Last Set of Photos from Andres Sculpture Park

Hi everyone. Happy end of the weekend.

This is my last post of photos from Andres Sculpture Park in Brookline, New Hampshire. For those you who might happen to be in the area, I do recommend visiting. It was a pretty hike/walk, and the art was great. Plus it is free, with a donation box at the end if you want to contribute.

Of course blogger decided to load these photos backwards.  Some of these I didn't photograph their names either. As  the kids use to say at school, my bad.

These first few photos remind me of Ja Ja Binks for Star Wars episodes 1-3.  There were 3 mechanical sculptures in this set, and I do think the artist created some fantastic anatomical details.

It was obvious what these next  photos are showing (sorry for the reverse order-thanks Google). I wish I knew more about it as it seemed a little out of place in the woods.

I'm sure Elizabeth will love the rust!

This next sculpture brought on the discussion if this yoga shape is actually possible for a very limber person.

And speaking of bends.

Finally a note with some information about the piece.

I'm not sure about these next few, and unfortunately I don't have a photo of the plaque with the sculpture or artist name.

This next piece was different from most, but also interesting. This piece could inspire some interesting art journaling.

And  a few others, some with plaques. These are more confusing to me, but maybe you are better at figuring them out than I am.

This next photo is the one called Rebirth.

These next 2 were under construction, but the red and happy cut metal faces are great.

And finally a reminder that I am not writing a novel today.

I hope you enjoyed all these pieces. I left out a few that either didn't photograph well or didn't seem as interesting. I hope to go back sometime to do some of the other trails and see some pieces that were missed during this first visit.

Hope your weekend is going well. Happy start to the new week.

Amazing works! I can’t imagine how long it took to construct even one of them.

Fantastic sculptures. And it is such a great setting for them. How wonderful to go walking through the woods and see these treasures of art.

The weather has turned heavenly here in CT, for those of us who love Fall and Spring best (which I do).

And how's the porch coming along?

I got a kick out of the creature sculptures.

It amazes me how some of these simple shapes aren't so simple when you spend time with them.

Yes, I loved the rust, Erika. I also loved the ones that looked like they were made of steel, then rusted. You thought they would make good journal pages. The first three you showed really got to me. They were incredible. My neighbor makes art something like that and I fell in love with that hand. They are all wonderful, but some I liked much better than others. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Love Ja Ja Binks for once - oh, I´m either too young or too old, I hated Star Wars but went with Hubby to watch, I got bored to the brim and Ja Ja was on every bottle of Pepsi we bought in Australia. 7 months that figure.

Thanks for a return visit to the sculpture park, Erika. This has been a really interesting series. Perhaps you will revisit it after a few months or a year and you may view some of the art from a different perspective. Good art always reveals hidden insights, it seems to me.

Such imaginative sculptures. The first mechanical looking ones remind me of Egyptian gods. Stay dry today.

I've loved this series of visits and it's a spot I would choose to visit myself. This time I like the one with the glass the most, although you are spot on about the "Star Wars" creatures and the details.
