Hi everyone. October is quickly winding down, and before it's over, I want to share a bit more October art with you.
At Art Journal Journey we are celebrating the month with Tracey's challenge, My Favorite Colour is October. You still have until the end of month to join us for Tracey's challenge so come by and share your art journaling with us.
I have been on an art roll this month. I don't know which I am loving more, October leaves or Halloween. Smile. My journal page today is a collage made on a printed paper that I pulled out of an old Somerset Studio magazine.
Because Halloween is right around the corner, here's another holiday piece I made. There's not many more days left to squeeze in that art before the spooky day arrives, so if it seems like I've been posting a lot of Halloween inspired pieces lately, that is because I have been making and saving up pieces since late September. They don't seem to have the same interest to me when Halloween is far off or already come and gone.
If these ghosts look familiar, it's because these stamps have been getting a work out.
This page is in my Halloween journal that I made, and mostly it is lots of layering of paper and foam items. I did a bit of stamping an inking too.
That's all for me today. I hope you week is going well, and thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Nice job! Even the ghosties look spooked.
Good morning, awesome pages-I love both of them! hugs
The gemstones are such a cool idea! And the eye, love this page!
Great quote, too.
Love the Halloween-card, as well!
Sorry to say... they are cute, the ghosts (don´t tell them) 🧡
Both pieces are fabulous, Erika. I love all the beautiful details on the autumn one, you have collaged all the pieces very harmoniously. And the ghosts in the second one are so sweet, they look scared themselves! Have a lovely day, I'm off to art group this afternoon! How's the deck? Hugs, Valerie
They look really good. Have never played bingo...the ghosts and spider webs are really spooky!
I love abstract, mixed media, and collage art! These pieces are wonderful!
I'm like you--I somehow can't get into stitching/making for a season when it's too far past it. I can start early, but not too early. Next week I plan to start some cross-stitching to go on some Christmas/birthday/solstice cards, which may have some collage elements.
Enjoy this autumn day!
Here I need about 27 hours in a day, and you are on a wonderful roll. It seems I am late visiting this week, which has sort of become my mantra at the moment. Those old Somerset Studio papers were the best, and you put this to very good use. That TH doll and his dog must be a new set I've not seen before. Thank you for sharing this with us at AJJ using Tracey's theme.
I love your ghosts and goblins. You are getting a lot of use out of that stamp. And that spider is scary, too. LOVE your art today. dear.
Beautiful art Erika, I love your autumn page!
October is full of inspiration for me but you already know that, scenery around me always outweighs Halloween. I adore both shares today, you Autumnal page is Lush with that rusty tone leaf and with all those collage layers it's a real delight for me, just as your Halloween tag so many elements to peep at and see.
Thank you for spending so much time dedicated to my October theme it's very much appreciated, I have an unbelievable amount of pages left that I just did not have time to share.. i'm sure they will show their face soon.
Hugs Tracey xx
Another fabulous Halloween piece of art Erika - I love those ghosts of yours.
The journal page for AJJ is gorgeous, like how you did the background and the diecut leaves are lovely. I do like how you stamped on the oak leaf. Why did I not think of my diesk for the leaves I have used recently - doh! The added jewels to the bingo card really give it a lift and i love that eye.
A fab page - I can see you enjoyed making it.
hugs, neet xx
The second piece is fun but I especially love the first one. Gorgeous layering and texture there!
I like both with the oranges used along with that bingo card. Tge second is fun with the ghosts
So cool! I love how you include so much without it ever looking cluttered. You have a nice touch.
