Hi everyone. It's the middle of the week once again. February is zooming by. Can you believe March is almost here? I'm ready. I was excited yesterday that we actually had some rain and not snow. We haven't had rain (versus snow) for a long time. The weather guy also said last weekend was the first time since December our temperatures were over the freezing point. And yesterday, we hit 50 degrees F (10 degrees C). ❤❤❤❤❤ This is not an unusual winter in my area, but it is definitely a tougher one than the last few years.
With this month starting to wind down I want to share another journal page for Vicki's Music challenge at Art Journal Journey.
I used 2 shades of blue ink to color my background. Then I added a musical scrap of tissue paper and also took a stencil and some white paint to add some details. After that I included a tag I made earlier for a challenge at Tag Tuesday. And then to finish off my page, I stamped the violin playing boy (Postmodern Design) and also stamped the quote (maybe Stampers Anonymous) and finished out by outlining the white paper quote box.
And speaking of Tag Tuesday, here's another tag with a Face for Michele's challenge.
This time I used some multicolored water based inks with a bit of water, as well as a scrap of printed tissue paper, a die cut face that I colored in and added some flower shaped sequins to her hair, the stamped word grace and finally a Sharpie outlined edge.
And I'll end this post with some spring blooms for you. The daffodil stems I bought at Trader Joe's this past weekend are starting to bloom.

wow That tag is really really beautiful! The contrast between the bright background with what hair is perfect.
The snowdrops are having their last blooms of the season here and daffs are out in places. There are masses of them along the roadsides in various places. I never saw anything like that until our first early spring here.
Lovely work! I especially love the violin piece--the quote is excellent and I love all the other elements on their own, but also the way they come together.
Enjoy the liquid rain and warmer temps!
The Tag and the journal page are very beautiful! Wonderful the Contrast and the quote!
The weather is warmer, that is very good !
Hugs Elke
...thanks for brightening my day with the daffs.
Yay for warmer temps and rain! The violin-quote sure describes my life a bit... And is that a dandelion? Last time I made a wish on one it came true three days later. Beautiful page and Tag, so 70´s! Peace and hugs!
Love the face you used on the tag.
Wasn't it nice to have sun and temps above freezing? Wonderful page and tag. I really like that cut out face. The daffodils are so pretty. An avalanche of snow just fell off the solar panels. Spring is on the way!
Lovely page and tag and ahh...daffodils!
Oh my those flowers are gorgeous! So happy and cheerful looking! I look forward to some blooms coming soon outside! Your page is fantastic! I love the mix of blues and the texture in your background as it looks like jean material! Such a darling quote and fun images! Thanks for your wonderful inspiration using my "MUSIC" theme for AJJ my friend!
I do think this violin saying is perfect. Lovely art.
Lovely journal page.
A very nice tag.
Beautiful daffodils.
Enjoy these last few days of February.
All the best Jan
Loving your tag...and the daffodils are gorgeous. Locally we have them bobbing their heads along the edges of our roads, a lovely splash of colour, also my faves Snowdrops.
Thank you for joining us at Tag Tuesday x
I love daffodils! And what a great page! Thank you, Erika, for entering again our challenge at Art Journal Journey.

Spring blooms are usually lovely because they raise the mood after a fairly depressing winter. The colour in particular often raises the mood, even though the shapes may be a bit uneven.
But the daffodils are stunning, even, elegant and handsome.
Erika your journal page is absolutely gorgeous. Love the blues and what a great quote!! I love your face tag too. The die cut is perfectly against your gorgeous background. Thanks for playing along with us at Tag Tuesday.
Lovely art, always, but today those brilliant daffs are setting my heart dancing!
Both the tag and the journal page are great. I love how you stuck with the blue shades for your page. It always makes me think of a winter scene and I remember someone saying, years ago, you should not paint a room in blue as it made it look cold. Would work in a hot climate I guess.
That is a great quote you found and i love the little violinist playing alongside the birdsong in the postage stamp. Some great images chosen here Erika, they all meld so well together.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps love the daffs - so bright and cheery
Luv that gotgeous die cut tag
Much♡love
