Is There a Roll Here?

It is Tuesday, T Day, once again! Happy hello to me fellow T gang!
So today I have lots of yummy food for you to enjoy with your cup of  tea or coffee.
Starting with my lunch last Saturday.
Can you see the roll in this clam roll? I thought they gave me the wrong order at first.
I had this lunch last Saturday when my husband and myself went back to Pop's Clam shack.
I'd mentioned my lunch here in a T post a few weeks ago.  When I went there last month I'd wanted some fried clams but had been good and ate something a few less calories, but when I went this past weekend I wasn't so self controlled and decided to order the clam roll. I've never had a clam roll with so many clams in it before though.
I couldn't finish them all, didn't even need supper and this was only my lunch.
You might remember these photos, but if not, here they are again.

So now that you had lunch you might want a little sweet dessert now. Perhaps.Sunday I did a bit of baking again.
When I was getting groceries at Trader Joe's the other I found this jar of pie filling. I'd never seen pie filling there before.
I like cherry pie but it is a little sweet. So I decided to experiment. I put in the pre-made pie filling.
Then I added some mixed frozen fruit I had. There were strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and cranberries in the mix, along with the cherries.
And I made the top crust using a star shaped cookie cutter.
I like how it looks.

It came out really tasty, but I made one mistake. I should have blind baked the bottom a bit first because I was soggy  for sure. I don't know what I was thinking-or not thinking. But I am definitely going to make this again if I can find that cherry pie filling again. It was super easy to make the filling because the pre-made cherry half was sweet enough I didn't need to do much besides add a bit of thickener and my fruit, no extra sugar needed.
Won't you enjoy a calorie free piece?
Stop by Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog-Altered Book Lover to see what the rest of the T Gang has been up to. If you have something yummy to share (or anything T related) you can join the fun too.
Have a great T day.

Wow, you made me hungry, even though I don't think I've ever had clams. Of course, I love the pie, which I would rather have than cake any day. You are SO lucky to have a Trader Joe's. There isn't one in KS that I know of. I got to shop there when I was in CA. The thing is, I've never seen ANY pie filling in a jar before, only in cans. So this was a double joy for me to see. And those stars remind me of our Independence Day, so I think you should prepare this pie for July 4 (HINT)!!

Thanks for sharing your clams, your pie and your "wise" mug with us for T this soon to be Tuesday.

wow...it all looks scrumptious!! Love the stars for the top crust of the pie...and your adorable owl cup!

to answer your question about the pens i use in my little Techo, I mostly use the Sharpie pen (different from a regular Sharpie!) which doesn't bleed through the pages, sometimes a .005 pigma pen if I want a really fine line, regular highlighters, and watercolor pencils. the paper is wonderful and I just have to watch out for pens that bleed through it, like some of the gel pens. Oh, and I also use colored ball point too. lol...more info than you probably wanted to know... ;) and these pages are small, so I only have to fill up about a 4"x 6" space...thanks for your kind comments! and thanks for the pie!

What roll? I don't see a roll! But it sure looks delicious and that pie -- to die for. It looks gorgeous and I bet it was fantastic!

Thanks for checking in on my Gypsy posts. You're right -- Vegas isn't my place but it is fascinating!

I'm off to "more" of my place -- the ocean. Heading out to Myrtle Beach and then the mountains for a few days. I may be late visiting or replying to comments but will return eager to see what you are up to!

Oh yumm! That pie looks lovely! Those stars are such a good idea. I might copy that if I may. It looks great.
We don't get pie filling here so when I made my mum's birthday cake I made my own pie filling using a jar of cherries in liquid/juice. I will tell you how to do it if you are interested. (very easy)
Thanks for visiting,
Happy T-Day,
Blessings,
Lisca

My tummy is rumbling just looking at your post! I had a clam roll when I visited Maine and it was lovely, you are lucky as we don't tend to get them over here in the UK. Mmm and that pie looks delicious, I best not show my hubby or I'll be making one too! Happy T Day :-)

Cherry pie - my sweet weakness - I buy mine, as I have found one with less sugar in it (I am diabetic!) I have never tried clams but your roll looks delicious! Hugs, Chrisx

Sweet pie with your stars. Making it again for the fourth? Clam roll without the roll is fine by me as long as there is plenty of tartar sauce, now I want a trip to Bob's Clam hut for a shrimp plate! xox
