I'm Late for T Today

Happy T day to all the ladies at the T Gang. And no, I am not late, am I?
Its back to work after a really nice long weekend. I had one day out and 2 days just hanging home and that  was just perfect! Lots of time for art, reading and even a bit of experimental baking.
My page for Art Journal Journey stars the  White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, and he is running late for tea.  Since the theme this month is "Every Journal Page Tells a Story", I thought I needed to do a T day themed page.
I had been in Barnes and Nobel Christmas shopping, and they have these wonderful bags with great literary designs on them. One side of my bag was the White Rabbit.  I used that image as well as some of the story quote from the bag as the base design on my page. I drew, painted and cut out the tea cup which I added. I also stamped some images and then added a few final details to finish off my page.
Oh yes, and my right top corner is not as out of whack as the photo looks. Its just my slightly warped corner on my page.
And since my age edges are not square, I am also linking up to Try It on Tuesday. The new challenge there is anything but square.
I also wanted to show you this photo.
The hubby picked up a box of Trader Joe's instant coco packages at Christmas time. I'd never tried it, but boy is it good. It is very rich and chocolaty, and with a squirt of some left over holiday whipped cream, it is a wonder evening treat. Especially on a cold night when I throw one of those fake Duraflame logs into the fireplace to get a little light and atmosphere while I watch TV.
Stop by   Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog    to see what the T gang is up to.
And hope everyone has a great  T day!

I hate to tell you Erika, but the "A" is enclosed in a square. Yep, it's hard not to be square at times (Grin). I really like your Alice in Wonderland entry. It is perfect for AJJ and T this week.

I have never tried instant cocoa mix before, and we have NO Trader Joe's around here, so probably never will. But it certainly looks quite delicious, especially with whipped cream. Thanks for sharing your Alice's rabbit and tea, as well as your hot chocolate with us for T this Tuesday.

Hello Erika
What a great page, when does the Easter bunny come?
Did I miss something?

Nice day from the snow-blown Austria.

I love Alice in Wonderland so I also love your journal page. Lovely!
My mouth is watering at the sight of your coco. (I'm on a diet so I can't have one at the mo).
Must admit I have never heard of a fake log.(more sustainable?) We only have wooden ones. And boy, are we getting through them! It is cold here and I need the fire on all day. THe house cools down considerably over night, so my hubby's first job (even before I get up) is to stoke a good fire to warm up the place a bit.Once it's up and running it's wonderful.
Have a good week,
Lisca

You're definitely not late, Erika. Not only is your T Party post right on time, but you've even completed the Try It On Tuesday challenge for today! I just read about it and might give it a try. How clever to have scalloped edges that certainly aren't square. I love the White Rabbit - your tag, the character and the phrase!

Your fireplace and hot chocolate make me feel all toasty warm. Happy T Day! HUgs, Eileen

Love, love, love your AJJ page!!
I must stop by Trader Joes and pick up some of that mix, I rarely drink hot chocolate, but the GDs like to have it when they sleep over. Now, that mug, I would definitely buy.....that is so cute.
Happy T-day

We don't have a Trader Joe's here, and we don't have any whipped cream in the house.... Now I'm thinking I need to add whipped cream to my grocery list. :) Your fireplace scene looks so cozy! Happy T Tuesday!

Thank you for tempting us with that yummy cuppa cocoa in front of the beautiful blazing fire ... perfect for a dreary rainy Virginia day.
Your Alice page is fun and whimsical with the party cup.
Glad you had some time to recharge for the school week.
Happy T Day Erika!
Thank you also for your cool them at AJJ this month!

Hi Erika, I could have sworn that I had left you a comment this morning but it seems to have got lost in the ether. So here is another one (I can vaguely remember what i wrote)
I commented on your art journal page, how much I liked that because I am a fan of Alice in Wonderland.
The coacoa looks yummy, I would love some myself but we are on a diet so I have to restrain myself.
I have never heard of a Duraflame log. From its name I assume it lasts longer than a normal log. Does it give just as much warmth or is it just for show? Perhaps you have central heating and don't really need the warmth.
Btw I like you owl mug.
Happy T-Day
Have a good week,
Lisca

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories. Charming page you created. Your owl mug would fit right in. REally made me smile. Stay warm. And if you turn your pajamas inside out, maybe you'll get a snow day tomorrow. That was the ritual my girlies followed when they were in school. (-;

First of all, I really love this! The Alice graphics are terrific and I love the colors you chose and text. Nice connection too! And thanks for the TJ cocoa recommendation. I'll be doing a road trip there in a few weeks and I'll put it on my list. Nothing like cocoa in the winter!

Thanks for cruising by the Gypsy! I feel like I'm running to stay in place and having some upcoming travel too but I'll do my best to visit or catch up!
