Happy Tuesday to everyone who's stopping by my blog today.
And a big hello to all the T gang ladies.
Last week I introduced you to Pete, one of our dogs. Just so she wouldn't feel left out, today I am introducing you to Maddie, our other dog.
And a big hello to all the T gang ladies.
Last week I introduced you to Pete, one of our dogs. Just so she wouldn't feel left out, today I am introducing you to Maddie, our other dog.
Maddie is also a rescue dog who came our way after taking a long ride in the doggie rescue van from Georgia. We picked her out from a photo, and after a few phone calls, decided she was a good dog for us. And she is, but since I don't think she had never lived in a house when we first got her, there was some adjustment time for all of us.
She has turned into a wonderful dog. Unlike Pete who is more of a doer, Maddie is more philosophical.
Here I am working on my page about her, with my mug of hot coco with a big squirt of whipped cream. Its in the new mug my daughter gave me for Christmas. No, my daughter is not having a baby, but Pete is her dog, so I guess that makes me Pete's grandmother. And of course my daughter loves to rub in that fact I had a grand dog and am a grandmother. :)
I am linking this up to T for Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover.
And here's my finished Art Journal Journey page. The theme this month is that every journal page tells a story hosted by me. :)
And in case you can't read Maddie's thoughts about life, here they are.

And in case you can't read Maddie's thoughts about life, here they are.
1-if someone wants to scratch your back, let them
2-There are no strangers, only people you haven't met yet
3-If you have a chance to do something, do it.
4-Life is too short so just keep playing.
5-Stake out the best spot on the bed. You will sleep better if you do.
6- When riding in the car, look out the window. You might miss something interesting otherwise. (the same is true for riding in a boat too)
7-If you trip on the stairs, just pick yourself up and keep going.
8- Life is too short to miss a cookie opportunity.
And my daughter is giving Maddie a back scratch. She gets very excited when the back scratcher comes out.

I loved reading about Maddie and her thoughts on life, Dogs do so know how to touch our hearts. Its a fun mug you have as well, I can relate to the words although I have always been mam to our dogs.' Go see Mam', being the most popular phrase used in the family.
Its a fantastic journal page Erika.
Happy T Day

Sorry I'm late visiting. My old computer had a major meltdown, and I had to reboot it twice in order for it to run again. I was able to visit a couple of people, then it went out again. I gave up and went to bed. I'll be SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad when I get my new computer back.
Your journal page is too funny. I simply adore it. And I adore Maddie, too. She's quite the charmer, I can tell. Her advice is good for people, too.
Had to laugh at your grandmother mug, but loved the hot chocolate with whipped cream. My kind of winter drink, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing your art, your daughter, Maddie, and your hot chocolate with us for T this Tuesday.
I love your jounral page and Maddie's story really made me smile! Maddie is so precious and she looks so content having her back scratched :-). A mug of coco with a big squirt of whipped cream sounds ideal, I fancy a handful of mini marshmellows on top too - YUM! Happy T Day! J :-)
Wonderful! What an adorable art journal page :) What a super list too. I agree with all of those points!
Maddie is a sweetie as I can attest. Who doesn't love a good back scratch. I like her philosophy and it makes for a contented life. xox
I love this post! Maddie makes some very good rules!
LOVE your Maddie page!!!
Even with Grandchildren I'm grandma to their dogs too.......so your cup makes perfect sense to me. I had granddogs before grandchildren!
Happy T-day

I love Maddie and her very wise thoughts! Your cocoa looks delicious and I love the mug!
Hugs, Chrisx
I'm not really a dog person, but Maddie is wonderful. I love how you captured her spirit on your page and her wise words. Mmm, hot chocolate with a fluffy cloud of whipped cream. To your health and your new mug.
It was fun to read your story, you crated a great page. Your daughter looks quite happy with Maddie.
What a delightful page with Maddie's philosophy included! sooo cute! and the hot chocolate looks delicious!♥
I love dogs! I had three beautiful dogs and they all died peacefully of old age. It's been nice discovering you and reading through your postings. I'm also experimenting with "art journaling" but not in a traditional sense. I'm doing a series of mixed media watercolours that I aim to formally publish by the end of it.
Fun journal page and AJJ entry. I grew up with dogs but now am more of a cat person. If we had a fenced yard I might be more inclined towards dogs but having to walk them in below zero temps sucks whatever love I have for dogs right out of me. Plus doggie do-do makes me gag. lol
Happy T day!
Erika, I bet you can see my big smile beaming at you all the way from Mexico. That is the most clever cute awesome scrapbook/journal page I've seen for a long time! I love Maddie's philosophy and printed out her rules for myself. Hope that's okay.
Happy T Day! Hugs, Eileen
Maddie is a cutie. I like her advice on cookie opportunities. :-)
Fabulous and fun post Erika - I love LOVE the page you created and fun quotes by Maddie. Love your drawing too - that would make such an awesome stamp!
