Beautiful Days

The days have been beautiful here again. After a chilly spell the warmth is back and the days are fall warm. What's fall warm you ask? Low 70's, sunshine, no humidity. My perfect weather.
Yesterday I came home from work and took  walk trying to squeeze in the late day sunshine. Boy it seems to get dark so early. (And when the clocks change it will just be dark when I get home from work I think.)
The woods had a yellow glow.
The bees were so busy getting the last of the pollen on these daisy shaped chrysanthemums they didn't even notice me. No buzzing, just gathering pollen.

And the hydrangeas have new flowers. They are so blue.
And even the roses are blooming one last time.

I'm a couple of days behind in my calendar journal.
But I did make a fun little Halloween spread for this week.
Hope you're having some beautiful weather in your world.

What a beautiful walk. Your flowers are still gorgeous. The hydrangea is unbelievable. Loved your calendar page. Are you afraid, yet? :-D Not looking forward to the pep rally?

We've been having highs in the 70sF here, and I can tell the weather is more like fall, but we're not getting tree color changes here yet. I enjoyed your photos. Fall flowers are wonderful!

Even so late in the season your flowers look beautiful, it must be good to see the colours of the blooms as you go on your walk.
Its another fabulous journal page, its a sweet figure with the pumpkin head.

Hi Erika, I am a first-time visitor to your blog and came here after reading comments on a fellow blogger's site, Blogaratti. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we both live in NH; we have been in Nashua for a bit over 2 years and are natives on NJ and lived on the VA eastern shore for 12 years before deciding to relocate here and we really like New England. The colors are slowly changing here and the Mine Falls park that is within walking distance of our mill apt is finally getting a bit more color. These warm days and less rainfall are not helping the foliage, hopefully we will get a cold snap that stays longer than a day or two. Please feel free to visit out blog anytime as we always enjoy and appreciate visitors and comments.

I'm SO sorry I'm late visiting today. I got sick this morning and slept most of the day. I hope the end of Spirit week and the pep rally won't be as bad as you fear. I sure like that Halloween inspired art you created in your planner. It is fabulous.

Your roses are INCREDIBLE. I am SO impressed that they are still blooming. Wonderful photos of life in your part of the country right now. Hope your Friday isn't a fright day!

I'm glad you are able to enjoy the spell of good weather. Here it has picked up a bit too. As you say: shorter days. It gets dark so much earlier all of a sudden. And the temperatura drops significantly after sundown.
Thanks for your comments on mine. To answer you question: no, in that part of the lane you can't get cars through at all. Cars can get as far as the Green gate. That is our neighbour Pete and he parks his car behind that Green gate. He only uses his car a couple of times a month. (We do everything on foot here). People that don't know the área drive as far as Pete's and then get stuck as it gets very narrow. They then can't turn round and if they are not confident drivers or visitors in hire cars, Pete has to open his gate to let them reverse. The council should put 'No Entry' signs up or something really.
You artwork is great although I must say I do not like Halloween and all the 'scary' stuff. I know it's only a bit of fun, but I don't like it and I don't think children should be exposed to all this darkness.
Have a good weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

I think you are grabbing at fall like I am, trying to get every last flower, every last lovely thing from summer before you-know-what lands and we're in a world of white. Wasn't it nice this weekend?
