Nothing Special, Just Some Doodles

Hi everyone. I'm home from work. It was a beautiful day and too bad I had to spend it inside a classroom. But oh well. Work was uneventful and that  always makes it  a good day.
Thought I would share a few of my calendar journal pages from September with you.  I feel like I share these a lot but when I looked back I haven't shown you any since early September.

I've been trying to draw some things around me , especially  days where I really don't have a whole lot going on.
Pushing myself to try to improve my doodling skills. I won't go so far as saying my drawing skills.
Try being the word. I guess it would help if I went back to using a drawing pencil and a stump, but I like to work quickly and not use up all my limited art time in my drawing journal. I like to start with my drawing journal as a warm up before I move onto other projects.
Sometimes I get better results than other times. But that's OK. I decided this journal is the place to practice and learn, not just record and try to make pages look good.
I will admit it has taken me a bit to get to this point.
The left side of my journal is getting too thick and it bulges up which make drawing on that side a little difficult at times. But it's fun to look back and fun to try out ideas. Whether they work or not is another story.
I guess that is the opinion of the viewer.
Or of me, the journaler.
Thanks for stopping by to visit. I always appreciate your comments.

Love the page with the Bronte quote. Your calendar pages are so fun. I think you're too hard on yourself. The drawings are wonderful.

I really enjoy your journal pages. They put mine to shame, but of course, you use more space each day than I. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

So glad Maddie is better. I'm sure that was a scary experience I loved your changing leaves, and that pie chart was really, really clever. I enjoyed the pot of chili and the storm clouds. The rain looked really real!

Hope your Thursday goes well.

I love your journal pages, and how you record all that is happening, really great idea. Sorry you had to be in the classroom when it was nice outside - I know that feeling! Have a nice day, hugs, Valerie

The way you create your calendar journaling pages is exact the best way in my mind. An absolutely good way. Your sketching ( you call it doodeling-)SKILLS are super - and you are not just good at drawing but also in composing this pages. I am in awe of this pages - yes this is the truth.

Now after all my babbling here I wouldn't mind a slice of this -as you call it-:German Health Cake with lemon, poppy seeds and chocolate -

we call it

Zitronen - Schoko - Mohn Kuchen!

Happy rest of the work week for you!

I love your doodling calendar pages, they are filled with so many interesting images. The ones about your dear Maddie were from the heart.
