A Walk in the Garden

Hi everyone. Today I have an art journal page that I originally made for the no longer running book paper challenge at Try It On Tuesday, but then I never got it photographed, so with a few minor adjustments, it is now a page for Moo Mania and their newest theme of Summertime. I am also going to link up to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's challenge of Count Your Blessings over at Art Journal Journey. A sunny summer day in the garden (as long as it isn't so hot or humid you can't stand it) is a blessing for sure.
My page had some stenciling and some paint from cleaning my brush a few times.  I added some napkin scraps, some stems and leaves made from a book page (which I then painted) some heart flowers made from some sparkly paper, and finally after some doodling I added the lady. She came from the sewing pattern catalogue I picked up at Hobby Lobby on the markdown rack last week.

It was still way too hot outside for me today, so I spent most of my day working on  my studio cleaning. I'm trying to get it finished up before I go back to work. Still not done, but at least the floor is a lot cleaner. And I am a lot closer to being finished!
Thanks for visiting me. I always appreciate you stopping by.

Your walk in the garden is a dream come true. The glittery heart shaped flowers are STUNNING, and the girl you chose is perfect. What a great use of that pattern book. I absolutely adore this and am so happy you chose to include it with my theme at Art Journal Journey. This is simply fabulous, Erika and I am grateful for your support at AJJ.

This is a beautiful page. It looks so summery and green. I can feel cool air coming in through my window today, so lovely. Don't know how long it will last, but I#m enjoying it! The trees outside are all turning red like in Autumn. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

A wonderful page - I am specially impressed with the gorgeous arranged heart flowers. And it's pure pleasure for me to see this vibrant and beautiful piece of art linked not just to Art Journal Journey but also to Moo Mania & More !
♥♥♥THANK YOU ERIKA♥♥♥
Daughter's friend Bastian's mother is named Erika as well, and one late sister of hubby was also named Erika.

Good luck with the tidying - always new inspiration comes from that ...so I am looking forward to what you will find and show us at your next art pieces!

Too hot here still as well!
But gosh - it's SUMMERTIME!!!!!
Walking the dogs in the very early morning...and guess what!?
To get up that early means more time during the day for me..... should keep up with this.

Hugs, Susi

Lovely colorful page. The figure looks like a pretty figure in the garden. Stay cool. A break is coming, hopefully, before you go back to school.

It is a fabulous summers day page Erika, a real shame that you weren't in time to add it to TioT's.
The over sized flowers look great and she is sure wearing a very pretty summer dress.
Hope you share us some before and after photos of your tidy up.

Studio clearing. I have to do that when I settle back home. It never ends, does it?

Love the page!

It is too hot for just about anything right now, so the only thing to do is give into temptation and eat cheese and sip cold white wine!

Wonderful page! I love how you created and detailed the glittery flowers and pretty book paper leaves and your lady's expression fits the quote perfectly 😁. Such a lovely page for TioT too, maybe next time ...lol 😉. I hope you had fun cleaning out your studio, Happy Friday! J 😊 x
