Say It With Flowers

Hi everyone.  I'm here today with art for the newest challenge at Try It On Tuesday.

Since Mothering Sunday is coming up on March 22, and so many mothers love flowers, our challenge for the next 2 weeks is Say It With Flowers.  Of course I realize that you don't have to be a mother to love flowers.

I'm addicted to making mini-books lately, so today I have a garden mini-book to share with you.

Sorry for the fingertips in a few of the photos!

My book measures 3x2 inches (7.6  x 10.1 cm) and is made by folding a single sheet of water colored paper into a little book. This particular book is made with the paper being water colored on both the back and the front, so I didn't need to make  separate front and back covers.  I glued the basic book together and then used some green tape around the binding for extra hold.
I did some stamping and coloring to create my designs. The quotes are from TH, and I also added a few plastic gemstones to finish off my pages.

I had fun making this book as it made me think about my garden getting green and blooming, but not until the snow melts.

Be sure to check out the design team art too. If you should need some inspiration, there's lots of  great ideas there.

I also wanted to share a flower page for Second on the Second over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog. I went back to March of 2019 and found this page, which was also made for a different Say It with Flowers challenge at Try It On Tuesday.

Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to your flower art!

What a fun book. And the flowers are terrific. I was especially captivated by the iris, which is on my mind. (Yesterday I visited my aunt Iris' grave on her birthday.) It would be hard to decide a favorite, though. All are beautiful.

Your mini book is gorgeous. I especially liked the iris on the cover. It is stunning. You have a plethora of beautiful flowers you shared and they are all simply gorgeous. You must have worked ages on that book.

I also LOVE your second look. It is great for the second time around, too. I love how you used the TH paper dolls and the hearts that showed the love of the mother for the child. I was especially impressed that you drew all those flowers. That was amazing. Thanks for sharing this with us as your second look on the 2nd, dear.

Wow, I am impressed with your book. I love that iris your drew and painted, the colour is simply gorgeous. Daisies are one of my favourite flowers so they really appealed to me and then the clover was so impressive too and took me back to my childhood.
This is a fabulous book Erika.

Erika you mini book is a real delight to see, such pretty colours and bursting with blooms, i'm so glad you shared it with us. The Iris stamp is my favourite Tracy Evans stamp i've a project waiting to be finished since last year using it.. maybe one to move forward.
I do love your journal page too, especially with the addition of that lace trim.
Beautiful.. Hugs Tracey xx
