Add A Quote

Hi everyone. Wow. We're already into the last full week of January. It's also been 2 weeks since our last challenge at Try It on Tuesday. Thanks to all of you who joined us with your "something new" pieces. And congrats to those of you who received a top 5 for our December snowflake challenge.

For our next challenge, the theme is "Add a Quote".

I made this art journal page, and it has 3 quote related items on it.

I started with a stencil that I tried to use black Sharpie to cope the number lists with. The Sharpie's tip was a bit too thick, so I changed over to a pen.  I also used the same stencil and some green paint just to make the numbers stand out a bit more. Finally I sprayed a bit of ink as I didn't want my background to be too strongly colored.

I cut this lady out of a holiday multi-paged Amazon ad magazine. If you look carefully you can see a bit of her classroom behind her.  I had this frame sitting on my work table (I used the actual quote bubble that was on the inner part in some other art), but it fit her perfectly. Plus it is a speech balloon  that has to do with quotes.

Then I added my 2 quotes. One I cut out of this same ad-magazine page as I cut out this pretty young woman, and the other is a quote sticker. I finished off my page by using a stencil to add in the little boxes as well as the golden hexagons.

I hope to see your quote artwork over at Try It On Tuesday. Remember all art forms are accepted, and you have 2 weeks to join this challenge.  Be sure to check out the other design team examples too, especially if you're stuck for a quote idea. The possibilities are really limitless with this challenge.

I am also linking up to this month's art journaling challenge at Art Journal Journey. This month the theme is "Let's Face It", and you still have about a week to join.

Thank you so much for visiting my post.

What a fun page. I like how you brought it back to the classroom with top of the class. Such a clever way to share this quote. It's also a great one for your theme at AJJ, too, dear.

Fabulous quotes Erika and it is a super page to inspire us for both of the challenge themes at TioT's and AJJ. The background had so much detail as well with the classroom behind and the stencils you used.
Stay safe and I hope your weather isn't so icy today.

What a great saved image, I was expecting you to say it was a photograph of a friend or relative. Inspirational quote, we all need to believe in ourselves a little more, especially me. Thanks so much for another super challenge.
