Fairy Godmothers

Hi everyone. Happy middle of the week to you.

Today I am sharing another page for Elle's Fairy Tale, Folktales and Fables: Tell Me a Story at Art Journal Journey.

There are lots of fairy tales that include  fairy godmothers, someone who acts in place of a parent but has magic and can appear and disappear. One story that comes to my mind is Cinderella.

My page today is my take on fairy godmothers, mainly because if I had one, I might want her to shake her wand and make my garden bloom beautifully. Or perhaps shake her wand and do a few other things like get my house magically cleaned or perhaps make my chronic hives  go away. Smile.

I used black cardstock for my page. I sprayed some golden mica spray on it, then I added that strip of blue paper along the left side. The fairy godmothers were cut out of a sheet of paper. I added some washi tape, some acrylic ephemera, my quote and finally some little pink foam flowers.

Easy peasy.

That's all for me today. I'm keeping this post short. Thanks for visiting.

Very well done! Reckon that´s what you call "Patentante" here.
My Nieces are baptized, but no idea if they have a Godmother.
I asked my Brother several times to make his last will... nada. If something happens, no idea what will happen to the kids.

I had a Godmother. LOL, one Christmas she sent me a jumper, ultra-cool 80´s style, leaving one shoulder "naked" - boy, did my Dad flip!!!I was never allowed to wear it. It was yellow.
Have a great day and I hope your Godmother can fulfill your wishes! Hugs!

Love your page, Erika, and the background is very nice, too. When I was small i used to think that my godmother was a fairy godmother, as I had heard the term so much in fair tales. Have a great day, hugs!

Pretty fairies and flowers, Erika. Do you suffer from CSU? I have a friend who does. Prayers and hugs to get better soon and not be miserable, XOX

The spray on the black really works its magic on this page along with your fairy godmothers. I love the idea behind this page and whilst ~I would love to have a fairy godmother sort our garden out I think she would first of all have to weave her magic on my back. Maybe then I could do some of the jobs that I can't do any more.
Of course it would be good if she could wave her magic wand and do lots of things so I just sat and crafted all day.
A super page and a great story.
Hugs, Neet xx

My favorite fairy godmother is the one in the musical Cinderella version where Leslie Anne Warren is Cinderella.

Your take on fairy god mother is superb. I absolutely love it. I love how you treated the background as well as the fairys that are now godmothers, too. This is a stunning entry for Elle's theme at AJJ dear friend.

Beautiful take on the Fairy Godmother. Ugh, I’m so sorry about the chronic hives. Suffering from allergies an autoimmune disorders myself. I get it. Yes, we need a Fairy Godmother.
