Hi everyone.
Today I want to share some art. Let me start with my latest page for Art Journal Journey. This month Elle is hosting and here theme of Fairytales, Folktales and Fables: Tell Me a Story.
I'm going whimsical today with my take on Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.
On Elle's list of prompts, this topic is for next week, but I had my post finished before I noticed it was on her list.
I once again used some of Janet Klein's fun rubber stamp figures.
George, better known as Papa Bear, Gertie, better known as Mama Bear and Marvin, who we'll call Baby Bear, have just come home from a romp through the woods. Since it is October they have actually been out hitting everyone's bird feeders as they need to fatten up before hibernating. They've come through the door of their tree house, and Marvin notices that his chair isn't where he left it.
Now Goldilocks is still inside, rummaging through the house. She isn't looking for anything in particular, and she isn't a thief, but she is very nosy. When she was taking a walk one day, she became lost in the woods. That's when she came across the door into the tree where the bear family lives She had never seen a door in a tree before, she had to go in and check it out.
While she was in the house, the bears opened the door to come inside their home. Since the tree house isn't very wide, but it is tall, Goldilocks jumps up on top of an empty shelf just above the door, hoping the bear family won't see her there. Good thing she is also a very good gymnast to be able to make that jump in one leap. My page catches this moment in time, and what happens next is up to your imagination. Or perhaps a page for another day later this month.
I had this sheet of woodish looking paper from inside of an old Somerset Studio magazine. I stitched a bit of a dictionary page on the right, created the door from some Gelli printed paper, and then added my stamped, colored and fussy cut images.
There you have Goldilocks and the 3 bears. I am also linking my 3 bears page up to Creative Artiste Mixed Media blog (challenge #87) where any type of art is accepted as long as you use various types of media.
I also have a tag today for Michele's challenge at Tag Tuesday. The latest theme is Something Spooky.
I used an inked tag, added the scraps of the starry night paper and then added some stripes of washi tape. The tape didn't stand out very much so I had to outline it with a black Sharpie. The 2 owls are cut out of a book, the pumpkin is cut off of a sheet of paper (and then colored yellow to become a burning jack-o-lantern, and the girl is a stamp from an old Oxford Impressions Halloween set. I colored her in and added the witch's cap to her. Finally I added the stamped quotes and some little colorful foam stars.
That's all for me today. I hope everyone's week is going well.

Very, very supercute! Story and artwork!
Maybe I can join with a green "man" today.
Love Goldilocks and the Bear Family figures. I have an ending for the story. And then Baby Bear shouted: "Who's standing on that shelf above the door?" Mama Bear picked up the phone and dialed 9-1-1 to call the police. Goldilocks vaulted off the shelf with a gymnastic tumbling run that would have earned her 10s from the judges all except the Russian judge who would give her an 8 just because. Because the Bear Family gave the police a good description of Goldilocks, she was picked up later in the day and arrested for Breaking and Entering. The End. ๐
Oh Erika, the Goldilocks is adorable! And I love your version of the story. And your spooky page is awesome. I really like the owls you incorporated.
I'm enjoying the fairy tale theme. I love the "spellbound" tag.
