Hi everyone. Happy Friday to you.
What a crazy week I've had. It was supposed to be a fairly quiet week but ended up a little bit crazy. I knew Miss Maddie pup was scheduled for surgery Monday. She needed some lumps removed and a good teeth cleaning; I'm still waiting to hear back on the lump biopsies. Then Wednesday morning I got a call from my brother that my Mom had had a stroke. Off I go down to Massachusetts and spend the afternoon in the emergency room with her. While there the doctor tells me they don't think she had a stroke but perhaps some effect from covid which she recently had again. As of this writing, they don't know what exactly is going on with her, but my gut feeling is that part of her brain is shutting down. (So if I don't get around to commenting on your post, that is why.)
And speaking of covid, I know of and have heard of too many people who have caught it lately, including my mother who had it a few weeks ago and my MIL who is just getting over it. I'm sticking with my mask, hand sanitizer and lots of hand washing. Call me cautious I guess. (And yes, I am fully vaccinated too.)
Today I am joining Nicole's Friday Face Off and Gillena's Friday Lunch Art Date . I'm also joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth over at Art Journal Journey with their theme of Collage Fodder or Food and Drink or Both because I am using a lot of collage fodder here.
Here's a left over page from Halloween, but it doesn't really have to be for Halloween. It has more of a Victorian medical vibe going on with it. It fits in with the way my week has gone.
