November

Hi everyone.  Happy November to you. It's month 11 of 2022 already-wow!

I'm here to welcome our newest host at Art Journal Journey. Before I do that, let me once again thank  Elle for hosting last month, and I also want to thank everyone who joined in during her October challenge.

It's a new month, and time for a new challenge. For November I want to welcome Elizabeth,  one of our AJJ admins and friends. I also want to welcome  her faithful companion Bleubeard. Elizabeth, whom you may know as Altered Book Lover is the clever and talented artist behind the art.

Her theme is
Collage Fodder or Food And Drink or Both

My first journal page for the month is what I call Favorite November foods. I used some collage fodder and my theme was around food.

I started with red and orange spray inks. Then I layered some papers and images. You can see the apple paper on the left. I also included a turkey image,as here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving this month. And finally I stamped, colored and fussy cut a pumpkin. I also used a bit of washi tape and some printed tissue paper on my page.

Elizabeth's challenge runs for the whole month of November. Please remember that at Art Journal Journey we accept any kind of art journaling, but we do not accept tags, cards, ATC's, inches, etc (unless they are mounted to a journal page that is). Your art journaling can be in an actual journal or on loose paper; it could be made from fabric, done by drawing, using mixed media or other format. However, it must be journaling.

Also please be aware that the admins of this challenge respond on the AJJ blog page, and if you link up through a form of social media that requires us to log in, we might not be able to comment on your page.

Now that I've reviewed the dreaded rules, let me say that it will be exciting to see all the journal pages for Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's challenge.

And as it is November, I am linking up to Art Every Day Month. During November you can link up any creative pieces, and you don't have to link everyday either. Thank you Leah for hosting this again. This is year 5 for me, and year 22 for this fun challenge.

Have a great start to the month, and I hope to see your journaling over at Art Journal Journey.

I really do like your page but had to look up what collage fodder is!
Hm, hope you are not disappointed, but I think that´s not really for me.
I had another 10+hours work day and new things ... lame excuse, I know.
Yours looks so happy, hugs!

The dreaded rules lol! But every activity has them :)

I don't remember that Whitman quote. It's perfect for this, isn't it!

The colors you chose are "ripe" and juicy, love them. I've never been able to read more than 5 minutes of Whitman at a time, but I do like some of his lines and these are good ones for your page. Hope your week is going well. xoxo

What fabulous bits and pieces you've used to accompany your gorgeous turkey! Absolutely brilliant colours! Been trying to keep up but think I'll have to wait until we get home, hugs, Chrisx

I love this page - it is full of colour and makes me feel warm and happy when I look at it. Red and orange are such warm happy colours and you have used some lovely papers to coordinate with the sprays used.
The turkey always makes me think of America and your Thanksgiving.
Hugs Neet xx
