Second on the Second

Hi everyone. Happy second half of the weekend. It's not only Sunday and time to link to Gillena's Sunday Smiles  but it is also the second of the month, which means it is also time for  Second on Second over at Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's blog .

The exciting news (for me) is that we are midway through winter today. 😏 February is usually our snowiest month, and I am NOT a fan of having to shovel, but what I really hope is this new month isn't quite so bitterly cold so I can get outside more. I love my house, but I know I've spent too much time inside in January.

Today I have some second looks from February of 2022. At that time the AJJ challenge was Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's theme of "What's Your Style?". As I looked back at my posts from that month in  2022, I found some musical style too.

I chose these 2 art journal pages to re-share because this month at Art Journal Journey Vicki is hosting and her theme is "MUSIC".

And here's a new page for Vicki's Music challenge.

I have a couple of concert ticket rubber stamps, so I stamped those each twice. You can see them on the right hand side of the page. Going to a concert is always fun, so I added the TH ladies. I gave them some washi tape benches to sit on. They look a bit ready for St. Patrick's Day too (or at least the middle one does in that fun hat), but perhaps the big show is then or perhaps the opening band is an Irish band. Or maybe- (ha ha) she just liked that hat.

I added a die cut musical cleft and the stamped and fussy cut singer. He's one cool musical cat-grin. I also stamped the quote. The background is made with a pieces of printed tissue paper, some pink paint spray and also some blue ink that was damp on a paper towel that I used to rub the pink paint. I love how it transferred onto my page though.

That's all for me today. Have a great rest of your weekend and start to the new week.

Yesterday was a perfect winter’s day here, and I hope you will get some of those. It was bright, sunny, little or no wind, and minus 11 degrees. I took part in a Trumpeter Swan survey and I could have stayed out forever! All the best - David

Listening to music is fun. Going to a concert is always fun. I really miss that now I live in the 'back of beyond'. I have to travel considerably to go to a concert, and even then in Granada there isn't much. I'm looking forward to Carmina Burana (Choral) in March and a Beatles tribute band in April.
Your journal pages are great. I love the pink one. Dress to your own beat is more or less the same as Relax into your own rhythm .
Enjoy your Sunday,
Lisca

Dear Erika, I'm curious whether your winter will be snowy. Here in Austria there has been unusually little snow so far. (But what is "usual" in times like these...?)
Oh, how beautiful are your music pages with the nostalgic photos! I love old photographs like these and you have arranged them wonderfully! Great composition, so to speak!
All the best, Traude

Fun page. I'm hoping this storm fizzles so we don't have to dress to the beat and rhythm of shovels and snow blowers.

Hi again Erika! Thank you so much for re-sharing your 2 beautiful art journal pages! I LOVE them both and really like how they fit Vicki's music theme this month. Your new page is amazing. I love the happy feeling I got when I saw it. The smiles on the women really made me smile, too! The colors, the tickets, and everything looks wonderful. I especially like your title - it's so true! Thanks, friend!!! Hugs, Sharon

You packed a LOT into this post. I adore the pages you shared as your second look. I remember them well and they fit nicely with Vicki's theme, too. Thanks for sharing both with us for your second look on the 2nd.

Your new entry is brilliant. Love the cool cat. I really love how you positioned the women on the page and the musical cleft. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ using Vicki's theme.

I so enjoyed seeing all your posts are Music. So many musical instruments on view for us with the first one and lots of musical notes for us on the second.
Then we come to your new one with the rio of ladies all sporting their best hats as they visit the concerts they have saved up for the tickets for.
Great pages, Hugs, Neet xx
