More from My Envelope Book and from the Botanical Gardens

Hi everyone. Happy Thursday. Another week is flying by, isn't it? It's been a lot cooler in my area this week, with quite a bit of wind and clouds too. And today we're getting a late season Nor'easter. The weather folks say there could be snow in the mountains, but luckily it should be all rain at my house.

Today I have another page and the tag in it's pocket from my envelope journal. I'm linking it up to Neet's It Must have Wings challenge at Art Journal Journey. I'm also sharing the tag in the pocket, and I'll be linking it up to the new website called Tag Along (and ATC's) that Pinky mentioned  to me in a comment.  I love making tags so I'm excited to find this replacement for Tag Tuesday (which you may know has shut down). Thanks Pinky for passing along that info.

This page is really simple. I used a piece of tissue paper on the background and then glued down some fussy cut and punched out images.

This tag is also pretty simple. The background is inked with 2 colors distress ink. Then I added a stamped and fussy cut dragonfly and a punched out fern. Then I stamped the little dragonflies on the background and added a quote from a 49 and Market set.

Let me finish this post with a few more views from my trip last week to Bedrock Gardens, a local botanical garden in my area.

I haven't seen a bunny in a long time.

The horse isn't actually at the garden, but on the next door farm. You could see it from the garden though.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your day.

A return trip to Bedrock Gardens may be our future as well, Erika. It is a lovely place to visit especially since we no longer have any gardens. Hoping we do not get a nor’easter, but then the recent weather has been so unpredictable and this week feels like fall, not spring.

Your backgrounds on your art (I'm thinking tag at the moment but in general, too) are always so beautifully blended. I'm loving that garden!

Your journal page and tag complement the gardens. What a beautiful spot. Stay dry today. Are you in for snow?

Your journal page and the label are beautifully designed! I really like them!
The photos from the garden are so beautiful again, wonderful!!!!
Good thing it's only raining!
It's stormy here too, but hardly any rain, which we so desperately need!

I always enjoy seeing what you create—it feels like sitting down with an old friend and flipping through pages full of gentle imagination. Your tag is lovely, and those dragonflies bring such a calm, graceful touch. Thanks for the peek at the botanical gardens too—what a peaceful place.

Yes, flying by in freezing temps. But, yes, I need to pop in at the Botanical Gardens!!! Thank you for the reminder.
Define simple!!!!! Oh, if I was allowed to share my studies on colors and physics - you would love that, I guess.
I especially love your tag (and the birds are chirping meanwhile).
Beware if you come here by car. Bunnies!!!
Oh, you got a proper pic of a bee! I tried at least 10 times and no pic was good enough!
And a horse! The last one I saw for real was a sturdy police horse in the street, ignoring me (it was "at work"). II miss horses. And sheep and ack. I chose to live in the city!!!
Hugs to you and thank you for sharing. Back to studies.

Loving the vibrancy of the fresh greens, lovely to see you at our new Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenge, thanks so much for joining us.

Great Nature photos, if your short on Bunnies we have an abundance in our top paddock, watch their antics for hours.

Bedrock Gardens looks like a great place to visit. Lots to see.
Love the simple (your words) tag but it looks full of artwork to me. I love dragonflies when I see them hoverfing over water, their wings flapping so quickly and their bodies giving off those beautiful colours. They give me a happy heart! And the tag fits so perfectly into your envelope journal which has that beautifully dotted paper on it which reminds me of some acrylic pieces I once made with Suze Weinberg. I really thought it was acrylic at first. Love the wrought iron gate and the beautiful bird. Such a lovely entry for my challenge at AJJ. Thanks so much Erika.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps have a great weekend
