Was playing with my alcohol inks the other day after the Creative Chemistry lesson on those very inks. Inspired, I made a bunch of tags. I do so love the effects you get from these inks on glossy paper.
Here's one I made that I particularly like.
On the tag (which I die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die) I stamped the saying (Tim Holtz/Stamper's Anonymous) in purple and the honeycomb in black (also Tim Holtz/Stamper's Anonymous). I die cut the flower (also Sizzix). I colored the stem with Copics. I used a Spica gel pen to color the purple and I used yellow Viva paint pen on the center, and then once dry I added a few Viva paintpen in bronze. Then I added some paper tape.
The heart is a stamp from Unity's Stamp of the Week. I first stamped it on white, colored the outside with Copics and inked the inside. Then I used a blender pen to wiped away a bit of the ink so you can read the words better. Finally I added some yellow Viva paint pen dots on the flowers of that image as well as on the bottom of the tag.
Thanks for visiting and checking out my tag.
Anyhow, psoted this just this morning and then noticed the new Second Floor Challenge went up and I thought-wow, this is just perfect. I've had some alcohol inks in a drawer for a long long time and tried them ocne or twice but never really had the gist of what to do with them. Especially on paper.
Also, never used the You Deserve Happy stamp and even used the phrase stamp in the background which I just used for the first time.
So voila!
Thanks again for stopping by!
