Hi everyone! I can't believe we are already into the second half of the month. It is getting closer to the start of autumn. The temperatures here in New Hampshire are warming back up, (since it felt like fall on Monday -it was actually nice), but hopefully it won't get too humid when the temperature climbs. I don't want beach weather any more.
I do however have a desire to be away on a trip. This happens when I get too busy during a week that I don't really want to deal with. Next week is a little less busy but just as crazy so I wish I could just disappear until the first of October.
Ha-ha!
So today I have a journal page for you. The background isn't my favorite, but I tried to salvage it. I can live with the background now. Reminds me of a pretty and warm blanket. I could use a blanket like this background to sit on a beach in a far away land on my wishful thinking trip.

I do like this little head part. He is quite the dapper guy (TH found relatives). and I love how the little white paint dots look. I found this quote in a magazine, and it seemed the total opposite of what he might actually say so I had to use it.
And I decided I'm taking myself on this virtual wishful thinking trip . I'm taking you along too if you want to view any further. I'm going to relive this adventure .
This was a school related trip I took in the summer of 2013 to Costa Rica. We visited schools, lived with local families, and got to learn about the rain forest ecology of the Osa Peninsula. We saw lots of gorgeous flowers, dolphins and whales jumping out of the water, and saw and heard howler monkeys. I fumbled all week with the 10 Spanish words I can speak...what an adventure.
OK, think I can now move forward with all the things I need to tackle at work today. A few minutes of looking at these old photos gave me the little recharge I desperately needed.
Funny how a couple of minutes in memory land can make such a difference.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Love your fun journal page, with th wonderful contrast between the background and the rather serious guy - a really good make. Lovely photos, too, I wouldn't mind being there either. It' wet, wild and windy today, but rather warm, too. Have a nice day, hugs, Valerie

I am really drawn to your art journal page Erika.
The patterns and dots and colors and designs all work together beautifully.
Thank goodness for so many great images of faux relatives too ;-)
What a memorable and wonderful trip that must have been.
I enjoy arm chair traveling when I cannot travel myself.
Thanks for sharing.
